2019–20 Vijay Hazare Trophy Group B
The 2019–20 Vijay Hazare Trophy is the 18th season of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, a List A cricket tournament in India. It is being contested by 38 teams, divided into four groups, with nine teams in Group B. The group stage started on 24 September 2019. The top five teams across 2019–20 Vijay Hazare Trophy Group A, Group A and Group B progressed to the 2019–20 Vijay Hazare Trophy#Quarter-finals, quarter-finals of the competition. Seventeen out of the first thirty matches that were scheduled to be played across all four groups were Result (cricket)#Abandoned, abandoned or finished in a Result (cricket)#No result, no result. Therefore, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) issued a revised schedule for the rain-affected matches. By 3 October 2019, twenty-two fixtures in Group B had been abandoned due to rain. Amiesh Maheshbhai Saheba (born 15 November 1959 in Ahmedabad) is an Indian cricket umpire and former cricketer. He played as a batsman for Gujarat. The V Jayadevan system, also known as the VJD method, is a proposed method for calculating target scores in interrupted one-day and Twenty20 cricket matches. The method was devised by V. Jayadevan, an Indian engineer. It can be used instead of the DLS method. VJD method The VJD method is essentially built around two curves. The first curve depicts the "normal" run getting pattern; i.e., when there is no interruption and the side is expecting to bat its full quota of overs. The second curve ("target curve") indicates how the batting side should "speed up" after an interruption.
