The 2019–20 Tahiti Ligue 1 is the 73rd season of the Tahiti Ligue 1, the top-flight football league in Tahiti. The season started on 27 September 2019. Vénus are the defending champions. Teams A total of ten teams compete in the league. Tahiti Ligue 1
The Tahitian Ligue 1 is the top division of the Fédération Tahitienne de Football in French Polynesia. The league is currently named Ligue 1 Vini for sponsorship reasons. Competition format Competition is divided into a regular season and play-offs. The regular season is a league format. At the end of the regular season the top 6 teams – and in past seasons the winners of the Moorea island league – enter a play-off league to determine the overall champions and qualifiers for the OFC Champions League. Meanwhile, the lower teams enter a separate play-off league along with teams from Ligue 2 to determine promotion and relegation for the following season. The Tahitian Ligue 2 is the second tier of the Fédération Tahitienne de Football in French Polynesia. Competition format The season begins with a regular league. The 2019–20 Tahiti Cup (also known as Coupe de Polynésie or Coupe Tahiti Nui) is the 81st edition of the national cup in Tahitian football. A.S. Vénus are the defending champions. 2021 OFC Champions League
The 2021 OFC Champions League was originally to be the 20th edition of the Oceanian Club Championship, Oceania's premier club football tournament organized by the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC), and the 15th season under the current OFC Champions League name. The tournament, which would usually be played in the first half of the year, were originally postponed to start no earlier than 1 July due to border closures throughout the Pacific caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
