2019–20 Sydney Kings Season
The 2019–20 NBL season was the 31st season for the Sydney Kings in the National Basketball League (Australia), NBL. Roster Depth chart Preseason The Kings' pre-season games consisted of three regular pre-season games and two NBL Blitz games. The first game was against Hills Select, before the Kings travelled to Tasmania to participate in the NBL Blitz during September, with games against the South East Melbourne Phoenix and the Perth Wildcats. They then had games against the New Zealand Breakers and the Illawarra Hawks. Daniel Kickert
Daniel Michael Kickert (born 29 May 1983) is an Australian professional basketball coach and former player who most recently served as an assistant coach for the Sydney Kings of the National Basketball League (NBL). He played professionally for 15 seasons throughout Europe and Australia, with his stints in the NBL including Melbourne United (2014–16), Brisbane Bullets (2016–18) and Sydney Kings (2018–21). In 2017, he became the first player in NBL history to join the exclusive 50–40–90 club, an achievement he replicated the following year. Kickert played college basketball for Saint Mary's, leaving in 2006 as the program's all-time scoring leader. He spent the next eight years playing in Europe, winning a Ukrainian SuperLeague championship in 2013 with BC Budivelnyk. South East Melbourne Phoenix
The South East Melbourne Phoenix are an Australian professional basketball team based in the south–eastern Melbourne suburb of Wantirna South, Victoria. The Phoenix entered the National Basketball League (NBL) in the 2019–20 season. The team play the majority of their home games at John Cain Arena, which they share with fellow NBL team Melbourne United, with some games being played at the State Basketball Centre. Franchise history With plans to expand the National Basketball League (NBL) beginning with the 2019–20 season, the league sold a franchise licence to Swansea City co-owner Romie Chaudhari in July 2018. Deshon Davion Taylor (born March 17, 1996) is an American professional basketball player who last played for KTP Basket of the Korisliiga. He played college basketball for the UMKC Kangaroos and Fresno State Bulldogs. High school career Taylor was born in Los Angeles, California, to Desha Taylor and Terri Bailey. He played at John W. Shaun Bruce
Shaun Bruce (born 13 January 1991) is an Australian professional basketball player for the Sydney Kings of the National Basketball League (NBL). He began his NBL career in 2012 and has played for the Cairns Taipans, Brisbane Bullets, Adelaide 36ers and Sydney Kings. He helped the Kings win back-to-back NBL championships in 2022 and 2023. Brad Newley
Brad Newley (born 18 February 1985) is an Australian professional basketball player for the Frankston Blues of the NBL1 South. After starting his career in Australia, playing for the Australian Institute of Sport and the Townsville Crocodiles, Newley was drafted 54th overall by the Houston Rockets in the 2007 NBA draft. Marcos Henrique Louzada Silva (born 2 July 1999), commonly known as Didi Louzada, is a Brazilian professional basketball player for Sesi Franca of the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB). Craig Moller (born 22 August 1994) is an Australian-German professional basketball player for the Taranaki Airs of the New Zealand National Basketball League (NZNBL). He is a former professional Australian rules footballer and spent three years in the Australian Football League (AFL) with the Fremantle Football Club.
