The 2019–20 Sporting CP season was the club's List of Sporting CP seasons, 114th season in existence and 87th consecutive season in the Primeira Liga, top flight of Portuguese football. The season covered the period from 1 July 2019 to 25 July 2020. 2020–21 Sporting CP Season
The 2020–21 season was the 115th season in existence of Sporting Clube de Portugal and the club's 87th consecutive season in the top flight of Portuguese football. In addition to the domestic league, Sporting CP participated in this season's editions of the Taça de Portugal and the UEFA Europa League. The club also qualified for the Taça da Liga, winning the competition and achieving an unofficial double. The season covered the period from 26 July 2020 to 30 June 2021. Sporting won the 2020–21 Primeira Liga with two matches remaining, following a 1–0 home win against Boavista, and thus became Portuguese champions for the 19th time in their history, and for the first time since the 2001–02 season. In this season, Sporting set a league record for the longest unbeaten run in a single season with 32 matches in a row (25 wins and seven draws) out of 34 matches. Football Club Shakhtar Donetsk () is a Ukrainian professional Association football, football club that was based in the city of Donetsk until 2014 when, due to the War in Donbas (2014–2022), War in Donbas, the club was forced to move to Lviv, and played matches in Lviv (2014–2016) and in Kharkiv (2017–2020) whilst having its office headquarters and training facilities in Kyiv. Rodrigo Andrés Battaglia (; ; born 12 July 1991) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a defender for Argentine Primera División club Boca Juniors. Luís Carlos Novo Neto (; born 26 May 1988) is a Portuguese former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. Club career Born in Póvoa de Varzim, Porto District, Neto joined his hometown club Varzim SC's youth ranks at the age of 10.
