2019–20 Slovak Basketball League
The 2019–20 Slovak Basketball League season was the 28th season of the top-tier basketball competition in Slovakia. It started on 5 October 2019 and ended prematurely on 13 March 2020 without any declared champion due to the coronavirus pandemic. Competition format Ten teams joined the regular season, consisted in playing against each other four times home-and-away in double a round-robin format. The eight first qualified teams advance to the playoffs. Teams The same nine teams of the previous season repeated participation in the league. Regular season League table Results Playoffs Seeded teams played games 1, 3, 5 and 7 at home. Quarterfinals were played in a best-of-five games format while semifinals and final with a best-of-seven one. The 2018–19 Slovak Basketball League season will be the 27th season of the top-tier basketball competition in Slovakia. Levickí Patrioti are the defending champions. Competition format Ten teams joined the regular season, consisted in playing against each other four times home-and-away in double a round-robin format. The eight first qualified teams advance to the playoffs. Teams After the resignation of Košice, runner-up of the previous season, to continue playing in the league, Lučenec, champion of the 1.Liga, replaced them. Also, VŠEMvs Karlovka Bratislava resigned to the league thus reducing the number of teams to nine. Regular season League table Results Playoffs Seeded teams played games 1, 3, 5 and 7 at home. Handlová
Handlová (, , before 1913 ) is a town in the Prievidza District, Trenčín Region in the middle of Slovakia. It is made up of the three parts Handlová, Nová Lehota and Morovno. Geography It is located in the ''Handlovka'' brook valley, surrounded by the mountain ranges of Vtáčnik in the west and Žiar in the south, east and north, in the historical region of Hauerland. It is away from Prievidza and from Žiar nad Hronom. Besides the main settlement, it also has "parts" of Morovno (north-west) and Nová Lehota (south), both annexed 1976. History The town was established in 1376 and was inhabited by German settlers which were later known as the Carpathian Germans. Žilina

Komárno
