2019–20 Rugby Europe International Championships
The 2019–20 Rugby Europe International Championships is the European Championship for tier 2 and tier 3 rugby union nations. The 2019–20 season is the third of its new format and structure, where all Levels play on a one-year cycle, replacing the old format of a two-year cycle, with the teams playing each other both home and away. After their win against Germany in the relegation play-off of the 2019 Championship season, Portugal was promoted to the Championship for 2020. On 12 March 2020, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Rugby Europe announced a suspension of all its matches and tournaments from 13 March 2020 until 15 April 2020. On 26 March, Rugby Europe decided to extend the suspension of all its matches and tournaments indefinitely. On 8 April, Rugby Europe Board of Directors decided to call off the season of Men's Senior XV Conference 1, Conference 2 and Development. There will be no promotion or relegation this year. Aka Tabutsadze
Akaki "Aka" Tabutsadze (born 19 August 1997) is a Georgian rugby union player. He plays as Wing for Lelo Saracens in Georgia Championship Didi 10. Tabutsadze is widely considered as one of Georgia’s greatest players of all time, he is their all-time leading try-scorer and is also the 6th highest try scorer in international rugby. Biography Akaki Tabutsadze began his senior career with Lelo Saracens, where he still plays today. He participates in the 2017 junior rugby union world championship in Georgia with the Georgian selection. Then in the process, he joined the Georgia rugby sevens team participating in the Seven's Grand Prix Series 2017. He will be summoned again the following year. Tom Foley (Rugby Union Referee)
Thomas Stephen Foley (March 6, 1929 – October 18, 2013) was an American lawyer and politician who served as the 49th speaker of the United States House of Representatives from 1989 to 1995. A member of the Democratic Party, Foley represented Washington's fifth district for thirty years He was the first Speaker of the House in over a century since Galusha Grow in 1862 to be defeated in a re-election campaign. Born in Spokane, Washington, Foley attended Gonzaga University and pursued a legal career, after graduating from the University of Washington School of Law in Seattle. Sam Grove-White (born 29 April 1992) is a professional rugby union referee who represents the Scottish Rugby Union. Rugby playing career Grove-White began playing rugby with Montrose minis and then Angus Colts. However, when he was at university, an injured ankle ended his playing career and he decided to start refereeing rugby union instead.
