2019–20 New York Knicks Season
The 2019–20 New York Knicks season was the 74th season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Following a league-worst 17–65 record in the 2018–19 New York Knicks season, previous season, the Knicks had a 14 percent chance of receiving the first overall pick in the 2019 NBA draft. During the NBA draft lottery held on May 14, 2019, the Knicks received the third overall pick. On December 6, 2019, head coach David Fizdale was fired by the Knicks after a 4–18 start, and Mike Miller (basketball, born 1964), Mike Miller was named the Knicks' interim head coach. David Fizdale
David Sean Fizdale (born June 16, 1974) is an American professional basketball coach who is an assistant coach for the Phoenix Suns of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He previously was an associate general manager for the Utah Jazz, an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Lakers, the head coach for the New York Knicks and Memphis Grizzlies, and was an assistant coach for the Atlanta Hawks, Golden State Warriors and the Miami Heat. He won two championships with the Heat in 2012 and 2013. NBA G League
The NBA G League, or simply the G League, is a professional basketball league in North America that serves as the Minor league#Basketball, developmental league of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The league comprises 31 teams; as of the 2024–25 NBA G League season, 2024–25 season, all are single-affiliated or owned by an NBA team except for the independent Mexico City Capitanes. Pat Sullivan (basketball)
Patrick Sullivan (born December 15, 1971) is an American basketball coach, currently serving as the Director of Recruiting at his alma mater, North Carolina. He joined the staff of former teammate Hubert Davis in April 2021, a move that was confirmed by the school that May. Royal Terence Ivey ( ; born December 20, 1981) is an American professional basketball coach and former player who is an assistant coach for the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Victor Kaleb Canales (born July 7, 1978) is an American basketball coach who serves as an assistant coach for the Texas Legends of the NBA G League. Early career Born in Laredo, Texas, Canales is a graduate of John B. Alexander High School. He graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in kinesiology. Judson Donald Buechler (born June 19, 1968) is an American professional basketball coach and former player who was recently an assistant coach for the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was part of the Chicago Bulls during their three consecutive championship seasons between 1996 and 1998. Keith Ramon Bogans (born May 12, 1980) is an American former basketball player who last served as an assistant coach for the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
