2019–20 Minnesota Timberwolves Season
The 2019–20 Minnesota Timberwolves season was the 31st season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The season was suspended by the league officials following the games of March 11 after it was reported that Rudy Gobert tested positive for COVID-19. On June 4, 2020, the season came to an end for the Timberwolves when the NBA Board of Governors approved a plan that would restart the season with 22 teams returning to play on July 31, 2020, in the NBA Bubble, which was approved by the National Basketball Players Association the next day. Due to their poor record, the Timberwolves season came to an end. However the Timberwolves won the draft lottery giving them the 1st pick in the 2020 NBA draft. Ryan Saunders
Ryan Philip Saunders (born April 28, 1986) is an American professional basketball assistant coach. He is known for his work in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a head coach for the Minnesota Timberwolves, as an assistant coach for the Denver Nuggets, and in player development with the Washington Wizards staff. He is the son of longtime NBA coach Flip Saunders. Early life Born in Medina, Minnesota, Saunders graduated from Wayzata High School in Plymouth, Minnesota in 2004. Kevin Burleson (born April 9, 1979) is an American professional basketball coach, and a former professional basketball player. He is currently an assistant coach for the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Nazreon Hilton Reid ( ; born August 26, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for the Minnesota Timberwolves of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the LSU Tigers. Reid won the NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award in 2024. Jarrett Ryan Culver (born February 20, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for the Osceola Magic of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Jake Douglas Layman (born March 7, 1994) is an American professional basketball player for SeaHorses Mikawa of the Japanese B.League. He played college basketball for the Maryland Terrapins men's basketball, Maryland Terrapins. Shabazz Bozie Napier (born July 14, 1991) is an American professional basketball player for Bayern Munich of the German Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) and the EuroLeague.
