Roman Repilov
Roman Alexandrovich Repilov (; born 5 March 1996) is a Russian luger. Competitive career Representing Russia at the 2015–16 Luge World Cup, Repilov placed second in the sprint event in Calgary with a time of 30.279. On 2 December 2016, he came in fifth in the Lake Placid event of the Men's Singles 2016-17 Luge World Cup, but set a new Lake Placid track start record of 6.359 seconds. Later in the same season, he triumphed in the men's singles event at Park City, Utah, came in second twice, in Winterberg, Germany and Sigulda, Latvia and won two men's singles sprint events in Park City and Sigulda. During the 2017–18 Luge World Cup season Repilov triumphed at Lake Placid and in doing so shattered the track record which had just been set first by his teammate Semen Pavlichenko the previous day and again by the American slider Tucker West in the previous heat of the finals, with a time of 50.875 seconds. Whistler Sliding Centre
The Whistler Sliding Centre () is a Canadian bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton (sport), skeleton track located in Whistler, British Columbia, that is north of Vancouver. The centre is part of the Whistler Blackcomb resort, which comprises two ski mountains separated by Fitzsimmons Creek. Located on the lowermost slope of the northern mountain (Blackcomb Mountain), Whistler Sliding Centre hosted the bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton (sport), skeleton competitions for the 2010 Winter Olympics. Design work started in late 2004 with construction taking place from June 2005 to December 2007. Bobsledders Pierre Lueders and Justin Kripps of Canada took the first run on the track on 19 December 2007. Felix Loch (; born 24 July 1989) is a German luger and Olympic champion. He has been competing since 1995 and on the German national team since 2006. Tucker West
Tucker West (born June 15, 1995) is an American luger who, at the age of 18, was the youngest male ever to qualify to represent the United States in the men's luge at the Olympics. West placed 22nd in the men's single competition at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. Career West attended National Sports Academy High in Lake Placid, New York. Before going away to school he was a resident of Ridgefield, Connecticut. When West was a boy, his father designed and built a wood luge track in the backyard of their Ridgefield home. West attends Union College in Schenectady, New York. Before making the ten-member Sochi squad, West was the co-champion of the 2012 U.S luge singles title with Chris Mazdzer, a U.S junior silver medalist, and a silver medalist at the 2011 World Cup in Austria.
