2019–20 Liga Primera De Nicaragua
The 2019–20 Liga Primera de Nicaragua season was divided into two tournaments (Apertura and Clausura) and will determine the 73rd and 74th champions in the history of the Liga Primera de Nicaragua, the top division of association football, football in Nicaragua. The Apertura tournament was played in the second half of 2019, while the Clausura was played in the first half of 2020. The league was one of the few football leagues in the world, along with the 2020 Belarusian Premier League, Belarus, 2020 Tajikistan Higher League, Tajikistan that did not suspend their season due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Nicaragua, COVID-19 pandemic. Liga Primera De Nicaragua
The Liga Primera de Nicaragua is the top division of football in Nicaragua, organized by the Federación Nicaragüense de Fútbol. It was created in 1933. The league is played in two parts, the ''Torneo de Apertura'' from August through November and ''Torneo de Clausura'' from January through May. Each of the regular seasons is followed by a playoff of the top four teams over a two-legged semifinal and subsequent final. The relegation end has the bottom team of the aggregate table dropped as well as the defeated one from the playoff match between the 8th and 9th-place teams. The COVID-19 pandemic in Nicaragua was a part of the worldwide pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 () caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (). The virus was shown to have spread to Nicaragua when the first case, a Nicaraguan citizen who had returned to the country from Panama, was confirmed on 18 March 2020. According to official figures from the Nicaraguan Ministry of Health, after the first case was reported on 18 March 2020, very few cases were detected for the following 8 weeks until a significant increase in the number of cases began in May 2020. Subsequently, from around mid-July 2020 the rate of new cases rapidly decreased, and as of January 2021, the country as a whole is showing one of the lowest number of cases in Latin America. Ocotal () is the capital of the Nueva Segovia Department in Nicaragua, Central America and the municipal seat of Ocotal Municipality. History The region occupied by the city of Ocotal was formerly occupied by different ethnic groups that had probably migrated from Mexico to Central America many centuries ago, speaking a variety of Nahuatl. The gold deposits that were found on the banks of the Choluteca River and other places, motivated the establishment of Spanish settlements. Real Madriz FC
Real Madriz Fútbol Club is a Nicaraguan football team playing at the top level. It is based in Somoto. History On 13 April 2021, the club under Honduran coach Hector Medina reached its first Copa Nicaragua and first top tier league final after defeating Deportivo Jalapa 4–3 on penalties after the game ended 1-1 after extra time. The Copa Nicaragua final on 21 October 2021 saw Real Madriz lose 3-1 to Deportivo Walter Ferretti, with Roris Espinoza scoring the lone goal on 57 minutes. Cacique Diriangén Fútbol club is a Nicaraguan professional association football, football club based in Diriamba which competes in Primera División de Nicaragua, Nicaraguan Premier Division (Primera Division).
