2020–21 Inter Milan Season
The 2020–21 season was the 113th season in the existence of Inter Milan and the club's 105th consecutive season in the top flight of Italian football. In addition to the domestic league, Inter Milan participated in this season's editions of the Coppa Italia and the UEFA Champions League. The season covered the period from 22 August 2020 to 30 June 2021. Inter were confirmed as league champions on 2 May 2021 with four rounds still to play, after closest challengers Atalanta failed to win their match against Sassuolo. It ended Juventus's nine-year grasp on the Serie A title and was the club's first league championship since 2009–10. In the Coppa Italia, Inter were eliminated by eventual winners Juventus by a 2–1 aggregate score in the semi-final stage. Tommaso Berni
Tommaso Berni (born 6 March 1983) is a retired Italian professional footballer who last played as a goalkeeper for Inter Milan. Club career Early career Berni started his career at Fiorentina. In 1998, he joined Inter Milan. He was a backup goalkeeper for their Primavera youth team in 2001 Torneo di Viareggio. Marco Varaldi was the starting keeper. In March 2001, Berni moved to England, joining Wimbledon, but never made a first team appearance. He was released on 30 June 2003. In mid-2003, he joined Ternana in Serie B. Samir Handanović
Samir Handanović (born 14 July 1984) is a Slovenian former professional Association football, footballer who played as a Goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper. Since August 2024, he is the head coach of Inter Milan's Inter Milan Youth Sector, under-17 team. Before moving to Italy, Handanović played in his home country of Slovenia. Luciano Spalletti (; born 7 March 1959) is an Italian Association football, football Association football manager, manager and former association footballer, player. He was most recently the manager of the Italy national football team, Italian national football team. He started his managerial career with Empoli in 1993 before going on to coach clubs in Italy including two spells with A.S. Roma, Roma where he won two consecutive Coppa Italia titles. 2018–19 Serie A
The 2018–19 Serie A (known as the Serie A TIM for sponsorship reasons) was the 117th season of top-tier Italian football, the 87th in a round-robin tournament, and the 9th since its organization under a league committee separate from Serie B. Juventus were the seven-time defending champions and defended their title following their victory against Fiorentina on 20 April 2019. The season was run from 18 August 2018 to 26 May 2019. Events Hellas Verona and Benevento immediately returned to Serie B after finishing 19th and 20th while Crotone, finishing in 18th place, were relegated after two seasons in the top flight. Empoli () is a town and ''comune'' in the Metropolitan City of Florence, Tuscany, Italy, about southwest of Florence, to the south of the Arno in a plain formed by the river.
