2019–20 Eerste Klasse
The 2019–20 Eerste Klasse season was a season of the Eerste Klasse. Effects of the COVID-19 pandemic On 12 March 2020, all football leagues were suspended until 31 March as the Dutch government forbade events due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the Netherlands. On 15 March this period was extended until 6 April. Due to the decision of the Dutch government to forbid all gatherings and events until 1 June 2020, this period was even further extended. Eventually, on 31 March 2020, the Royal Dutch Football Association, KNVB decided not to resume competitions at the amateur level. They also decided, for those competitions involved, there would be no final standings, and therefore no champions, initially no promotions and no relegations. All teams will start next season at the same level as they did this season. Eerste Klasse
The Eerste Klasse () started as the 1st tier of football in the Netherlands and is now the 6th tier. The league is divided into ten divisions. These divisions correspond to the six districts of the Royal Dutch Football Association: each district is organised geographically. Each division consists of 14 teams. The champion of the Eerste Klasse divisions are promoted to the Vierde Divisie (formerly Hoofdklasse). Furthermore, a season is divided into two periods () of eight matches each. The winners of these periods qualify for promotion playoffs, provided they finish in the top nine overall in the season. Roda '46 (self-styled as RODA '46) is a Dutch football club from Leusden. It was founded on 15 September 1946. The club has Saturday and Sunday football teams. Its Saturday football team plays in 2018–19 in the Eerste Klasse, while its Sunday team plays in the Derde Klasse. Roda's home grounds are at the Buiningpark in Leusden. With 1600 members and about 100 teams, Roda '46 is one of the larger clubs in the Amersfoort region. SV Nootdorp is a football club from Nootdorp, Netherlands. SV Nootdorp plays in Saturday Eerste Klasse since 2019. The home games are played at “Sportpark 's-Gravenhout”. History 20th century SV Nootdorp was founded on 12 January 1950. Nootdorp already had two football clubs, VV Oliveo and RKDEO. In 1960 and 1973, Nootdorp won a third class section championships of the Haarlemsche Voetbalbond (HVB). In 1979 and 1983 Nootdorp won the first class sections of the HVB. In 1984 it won the Big League of HVB and joined the KNVB Vierde Klasse. Nootdorp won Vierde Klasse championships in 1995 and 1999. Sportverenging Honselersdijk is a football club from Honselersdijk, Netherlands. Since 2018 it plays in the Eerste Klasse. It plays at Sportpark de Strijphorst in an orange-white-blue kit. The club also has a successful futsal team. History 20th century Sportvereniging Honselersdijk was founded on 6 May 1964. In 1965–66 it beat the factory team of Van der Heem 12–0. Huizen Sport Vereniging De Zuidvogels is a football club from Huizen, Netherlands. Its first squad plays in the Eerste Klasse since 2001, with the exception of the 2017–18 and 2024–25 which were spent in the Hoofdklasse/Vierde Divisie. History Zuidvogels was founded 15 April 1928 by a group of young people, all of whom were football fans. As there already was a soccer club in North Huizen, going by the name of Huizen (now SV Huizen), the youngsters named their South Huizen club Zuidvogels ("southern birds"). In 1952 the club was renamed HSV De Zuidvogels, which remains the official name. The club had grown to 400 members in 1962. In 1963 a new clubhouse was built by its own members, which has been extended and renovated over the years.
