2019–20 Dundee United F.C. Season
The 2019–20 season was Dundee United's 111th season, having been founded as Dundee Hibernian in 1909. It was their fourth season in the Scottish Championship, having been relegated from the Scottish Premiership at the end of the 2015–16 season. United also competed in the Challenge Cup, League Cup and Scottish Cup. On 15 April, the SPFL voted to end the lower leagues in Scottish football due to the coronavirus pandemic and as a result Dundee United were declared champions and secured promotion to the Premiership after four years in the Championship. Dundee (; ; or , ) is the fourth-largest city in Scotland. The mid-year population estimate for the locality was . It lies within the eastern central Lowlands on the north bank of the Firth of Tay, which feeds into the North Sea. Under the name of Dundee City, it forms one of the 32 council areas used for local government in Scotland. Within the boundaries of the historic county of Angus, the city developed into a burgh in the late 12th century and established itself as an important east coast trading port. Glebe Park, Brechin
Glebe Park (known as the "Carnegie Fuels Stadium at Glebe Park" for sponsorship reasons) is a association football, football stadium in Brechin, Scotland, which is the home ground of Brechin City F.C., Brechin City. Glebe Park opened in 1919. The ground had just one portable stand, which had been used at the Perth, Scotland, Perth agricultural show. Brechin City joined the Scottish Football League in 1929–30 in Scottish football, 1929, when a pavilion was added and the Cemetery End terrace was covered. The biggest ever attendance was 8,123, against Aberdeen F.C., Aberdeen in a Scottish Cup tie played on 3 February 1973. This attendance was greater than the population of Brechin. Paul Watson (footballer, Born 1990)
Paul Watson (born 20 December 1990) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for club The Spartans. Career Livingston Former Livingston manager Gary Bollan signed Watson from Ipswich Town in August 2009. He helped the club win the Scottish Third Division, in his first season at Almondvale. The next season, he helped Livingston win the Scottish Second Division title by making 33 appearances for the West Lothian club. Watson subsequently signed a new two-year contract, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2013. Raith Rovers Watson signed for Raith Rovers on 17 July 2013. Louis Appéré
Louis George P. Appéré (born 26 March 1999) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a forward for club Stevenage. He made his senior debut in August 2017. Early life Louis Appéré was born in Perth on 26 March 1999. He grew up in Cupar, Fife, where he attended Bell Baxter High School. He started playing football for East Fife Junior Supporters' Club at the age of 9 and later spent two years as a youth player with Dunfermline Athletic. He then joined Cupar-based AM Soccer, progressing through from the youth system. Club career Appéré began the 2015–16 season playing youth football, before progressing to AM Soccer's adult amateur team as well as appearing as a trialist for Raith Rovers' under-20 development team. Logan Chalmers (born 24 March 2000) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a winger for club Partick Thistle. He has also previously played for Dundee United and has loan spells at Arbroath, Inverness Caledonian Thistle, twice with Ayr United and Tranmere Rovers. Early life Chalmers was born in Dundee on 24 March 2000 and joined the Dundee United Academy at the age of 10.
