2019–20 AC Milan Season
The 2019–20 season was the 121st season in AC Milan, Associazione Calcio Milan's history and their 86th (109th overall) in the Serie A, top-flight of Italian football. Milan competed in 2019–20 Serie A, Serie A and in the 2019–20 Coppa Italia, Coppa Italia. Milan would have also qualified for the 2019–20 UEFA Europa League, UEFA Europa League but was later excluded due to financial fair play issues. Facts and events On 28 May 2019, head coach Gennaro Gattuso announced he would be leaving the club despite being under contract until 2021. On the same day, also sporting director Leonardo Araújo, Leonardo announced his resignation. New society layout was defined on 14 June when iconic former players Paolo Maldini and Zvonimir Boban signed respectively as technical director and technical support. Zvonimir Boban
Zvonimir Boban (; born 8 October 1968) is a Croatian former professional footballer who works at UEFA as the Chief of Football. A midfielder, Boban played most of his career for Italian club AC Milan with whom he won four Serie A titles and one UEFA Champions League title. He also captained the Croatia national team which won third place at the 1998 FIFA World Cup. Before 1990 and the international recognition of Croatia's national team, Boban had played for the Yugoslavia under-20 team which won the 1987 World Youth Championship. Antonio Donnarumma (; born 7 July 1990) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for club Torino. Asmir Begović (; born 20 June 1987) is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper. He is currently a free agent. Begović started his senior career at Portsmouth, signing for them in the summer of 2003. Ralf Dietrich Rangnick (; born 29 June 1958) is a German professional football coach, executive, and former player who is currently the manager of the Austria national team. Rangnick began his coaching career in 1983, succeeding his career as a player, at age 25. In 1997, he was hired by former club Ulm 1846, with whom he won the Regionalliga Süd in his debut season.
