2019 Scottish Cup Final
The 2019 Scottish Cup Final was the 134th final of the Scottish Cup and the final of the 2018–19 Scottish Cup, the most prestigious knockout football competition in Scotland. The match took place at Hampden Park on 25 May 2019 and was contested by Heart of Midlothian and Celtic. This was the fourth time that the two clubs had met in a Scottish Cup final with the previous finals being in 1901, 1907 and 1956. Of these three previous meetings in the final, Heart of Midlothian had won two and Celtic one. As Scottish Premiership clubs, Hearts and Celtic both entered the tournament in the fourth round. For Hearts, they only had one Premiership side to make it to the final. They did need a replay in the quarter-finals against Partick Thistle before defeating Inverness in the first semi. A matchday programme or match programme is a booklet associated with a live sporting event which details the proposed starting lineup and other details of the match. To some spectators, the purchase of a matchday programme is part of the "ritual" of attending football and hurling matches in Britain and Ireland. Steven MacLean (footballer)
Steven MacLean (born 23 August 1982) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a forward. He coaches at St Johnstone. MacLean has previously played for Rangers, Scunthorpe United, Sheffield Wednesday, Cardiff City, Plymouth Argyle, Aberdeen, Oxford United, Yeovil Town, Cheltenham Town, St Johnstone and Raith Rovers. Demetri Kareem Mitchell (born 11 January 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a left-back or as a winger for EFL League One club Exeter City. Christophe Berra
Christophe Didier Berra (born 31 January 1985) is a Scottish professional football former player and coach, who is currently the first team coach for Livingston. Berra began his professional career with Heart of Midlothian, playing 146 times for them before he moved to England in 2009 in a £2.5 million transfer to Wolverhampton Wanderers. He was part of their promotion to the Premier League months later and played in the top flight with the team for three seasons before relegation. Scottish Championship
The Scottish Championship, known as the cinch Championship for sponsorship reasons, is the second tier of the Scottish Professional Football League, the league competition for men's professional football clubs in Scotland. The Scottish Championship was established in July 2013, after the Scottish Professional Football League was formed by a merger of the Scottish Premier League and Scottish Football League. Format Teams receive three points for a win and one point for a draw. No points are awarded for a loss. Teams are ranked by total points, then goal difference, and then goals scored. The Scottish Junior Football Association (SJFA) is an affiliated national association of the Scottish Football Association and is the governing body for the junior grade of football (soccer), football in Scotland. The term "junior" refers to the level of football played, not the age of the players.
