2019 RideLondon–Surrey Classic
The 2019 Prudential RideLondon–Surrey Classic was a road bicycle racing, road cycling one-day race that took place on 4 August in London, England. It was the eighth edition of the London–Surrey Classic and was the thirtieth event of the 2019 UCI World Tour. Defending champion Pascal Ackermann did not return to defend his title. In his absence, Elia Viviani took the win with Ackermann's teammate Sam Bennett (cyclist), Sam Bennett coming in second. Viviani's teammate Michael Mørkøv held off Jasper Stuyven for the final podium place. 2019 UCI World Tour
The 2019 UCI World Tour was a series of races that included thirty-eight road bicycle racing, road cycling events throughout the 2019 in men's road cycling, 2019 men's cycling season. It was the first time since the World Tour was launched by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) in 2009 that it was not a ranking competition in its own right. The tour started with the opening stage of the 2019 Tour Down Under, Tour Down Under on 15 January and concluded with the final stage of the 2019 Tour of Guangxi, Tour of Guangxi on 22 October. Events The 2019 calendar was initially announced in June 2018, with the Abu Dhabi Tour being replaced with the UAE Tour, following its merger with the Dubai Tour. Amund Grøndahl Jansen (born 11 February 1994) is a Norwegian cyclist, who currently rides for UCI ProTeam . He won the Norwegian National Road Race Championships in 2019.(dutch) Career In July 2018, he was named in the start list for the 2018 Tour de France. Ethan Edward Hayter (born 18 September 1998) is a British Road bicycle racing, road and Track cycling, track cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Hayter started riding at Herne Hill Velodrome in 2012, aged 13. He raced for the VC Londres cycling club from 2012 to 2016, and remains an honorary member. De Buyst focuses mainly on track cycling, notably the omnium, points race, madison and six-day racing disciplines. Oliver Naesen (; born 16 September 1990) is a Belgian professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Considered a specialist of the one-day classics, he won the 2017 Belgian National Road Race Championships, as well as the Bretagne Classic in 2016 and 2018.
