The 2019 Postnord UCI WWT Vårgårda West Sweden was a women's bicycle race and was the 18th round of the 2019 UCI Women's World Tour. It was held on 18 August 2019, in Vårgårda, Sweden, the day after the 2019 Postnord UCI WWT Vårgårda West Sweden TTT. The road race covered 145.3 km starting and finishing in Vårgårda and included eight gravel sections. 2019 UCI Women's World Tour
The 2019 UCI Women's World Tour was a competition that included twenty-three road cycling events throughout the 2019 women's cycling season. It was the fourth edition of the ranking system launched by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) in 2016. The competition began with the Strade Bianche on 9 March and concluded with the Tour of Guangxi on 22 October. After just missing out in 2018, Marianne Vos () clinched her first UCI Women's World Tour title after a third-place finish in the final event of the season, the Tour of Guangxi. Chloe Hosking
Chloe Hosking (born 1 October 1990) is an Australian professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . Hosking has represented Australia at junior and then senior levels since 2007. Following success in a number of international events she turned professional in 2010. She competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the Women's road race, and won the women's road race at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Personal life Childhood and early life Hosking was born in Bendigo, Victoria, and moved to the suburb of Campbell in the Australian Capital Territory. Leah Kirchmann
Leah Kirchmann (born 30 June 1990) is a Canadian racing cyclist, who rides for National Cycling League team Denver Disruptors. She competed in the 2013 UCI women's road race in Florence. At the 2014 Global Relay Canadian Road Championships, held in Lac-Mégantic, Quebec, she won the road race, time trial and the criterium, becoming the first woman to win all three titles in the same year. Career Kirchmann's first sport was cross-country skiing. She continued to compete as a skier until about the age of 18. Kirchmann originally started mountain biking as summer training for ski racing. She turned professional in 2011 with the team. When the team dissolved at the end of 2011, Kirchmann followed director Rachel Heal to the new team in 2012. Amy Pieters (born 1 June 1991) is a Dutch professional road and track cyclist, who is contracted to ride for UCI Women's WorldTeam . She was a member of the Dutch team that finished sixth at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the team pursuit (together with Ellen van Dijk, Kirsten Wild and Vera Koedooder). On 23 December 2021, Pieters was placed in an induced coma and underwent emergency surgery to relieve pressure on her brain caused by a fall that day during a training ride near Alicante with the Dutch national track team.
