2019 Nagoya Grampus Season
The 2019 Nagoya Grampus season was Nagoya Grampus' second season back in the J1 League following their relegation at the end of the 2016 season, their 26th J1 League season and 36th overall in the Japanese top flight. They were knocked out of the Emperor's Cup in the Second Round by National Institute of Fitness and Sports in Kanoya and reached the Quarterfinal of the J. League Cup where they were knocked out by Kawasaki Frontale. Nagoya Grampus
(formerly known as ) is a Japanese association football club that plays in the J1 League, following promotion from the J2 League in 2017. Based in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture and founded as the company team of the Toyota Motor Corp. in 1939, the club shares its home games between Mizuho Athletic Stadium (capacity 27,000 and the J.League's oldest serving stadium) and the much larger Toyota Stadium in the suburb of Toyota (capacity 45,000). The team had its most successful season up to 1995 when it was managed by Arsène Wenger, well known for his subsequent exploits at Arsenal. They won the Emperor's Cup and finished second in the J.League, with Dragan Stojković and Gary Lineker on the team. is a Japanese footballer, playing as a centre back for Nagoya Grampus and the Japan national team. Club career Kashiwa Reysol Nakatani made his official debut for Kashiwa Reysol in the J. Yokohama FC
is a Japanese professional football club based in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, part of the Greater Tokyo Area. The club currently plays in the J1 League, which is the first tier of football in the country. The club was formed by fans of Yokohama Flügels as a protest against Flügels' merger with Yokohama Marinos in 1999, becoming the first supporter-owned professional sports team in Japan. Since gaining J.League membership in 2001, Yokohama FC long lasted at the second tier of the Japanese football league system. The club gained promotion to J.League Division 1 for the 2007 season, promoted after winning the Division 2 title. However, YFC were immediately relegated in the following season.
