2019 Iberia Cup
The 2019 Iberia Cup was a Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket tournament held in Spain between 25 and 27 October 2019. The participating teams were the hosts Spain, along with Gibraltar and Portugal. The teams competed for the Iberian Cup, which was contested in the 1990s, and was last played in 2008 as a double match series between Spain and Gibraltar. Tariq Aziz (cricketer)
Tariq Aziz (born 9 September 1974) is a Pakistani cricketer who plays for the Portugal cricket team. He played five first-class matches for Hyderabad in the 1999/00 season. In August 2018, he represented Portugal in Group A of the 2018–19 ICC T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier tournament. In Portugal's second match, against France, he was named as the player of the match, after taking three wickets and scoring 48 runs. He finished as the leading run-scorer for the team in the qualifier, with 99 runs from four matches. Wicket-keeper
The wicket-keeper in the sport of cricket is the player on the fielding side who stands behind the wicket or stumps being watchful of the batsman and ready to take a catch, stump the batsman out and run out a batsman when occasion arises. Cartagena () is a Spanish city and a major naval station on the Mediterranean coast, south-eastern Iberia. La Manga Club is a sports and leisure resort located in the south-eastern region of Spain, Murcia, south of La Manga, and bordered by the Mar Menor and Calblanque Regional Park. Not Out
In cricket, a batter is not out if they come out to bat in an innings and have not been dismissed by the end of an innings. The batter is also ''not out'' while their innings is still in progress. Occurrence At least one batter is not out at the end of every innings, because once ten batters are out, the eleventh has no partner to bat on with so the innings ends. Usually two batters finish not out if the batting side declares in first-class cricket, and often at the end of the scheduled number of overs in limited overs cricket. Net run rate (NRR) is a statistical method used in analysing teamwork and/or performance in cricket. It is the most commonly used method of ranking teams with equal points in limited overs league competitions, similar to goal difference in football. The NRR in a single game is the average runs per over that team scores, minus the average runs per over that is scored against them. The NRR in a tournament is the average runs per over that a team scores across the whole tournament, minus the average runs per over that is scored against them across the whole tournament. The captain of a cricket team, often referred to as the skipper, is the appointed leader, having several additional roles and responsibilities over and above those of the other players. Twenty20 International
A Twenty20 International (T20I) is a form of cricket, played between two of the international members of the International Cricket Council (ICC), in which each team faces a maximum of twenty overs. The matches have top-class status and are the highest T20 standard. The game is played under the rules of Twenty20 cricket. Starting from the format's inception in 2005, T20I status only applied to Full Members and some Associate Member teams. However, in April 2018, the ICC announced that it would grant T20I status to all its 105 members from 1 January 2019.
