2019 EFL League Two Play-off Final
The 2019 EFL League Two play-off final was an association football match which was played on 25 May 2019 at Wembley Stadium, London, between Newport County and Tranmere Rovers to determine the third and final team to gain promotion from EFL League Two to EFL League One. The top three teams of the 2018–19 EFL League Two season gained automatic promotion to League One, while those placed from fourth to seventh place in the table took part in play-off semi-finals; the winners of these semi-finals competed for the final place for the 2019–20 season in League One. The game, which was refereed by Ross Joyce, was played on a warm sunny day in front of a crowd of 25,217. After a goalless first half, Newport's captain Mark O'Brien was sent off after receiving a second yellow card in the final minute of the second half. Jake Lenox Caprice (born 11 November 1992) is an English professional footballer who plays as a full-back for club Oldham Athletic. Playing career Crystal Palace Caprice joined Crystal Palace in 2004 and progressed through the youth system at the club. Rodney Parade is a stadium in the city of Newport, South Wales. It is located on the east bank of the River Usk in Newport city centre. The ground is on Rodney Road, a short walk from the city's central bus and railway stations via Newport Bridge or Newport City footbridge. There is no spectator car park at the ground but a number of multi-storey car parks are nearby. Rodney Parade is the home ground of Dragons RFC, one of the four Welsh regional rugby union teams.
