2018–19 Scunthorpe United F.C. Season
The 2018–19 season is Scunthorpe United's 120th season in their existence and their fifth consecutive season in League One. Along with competing in League One, the club will also participate in the FA Cup, EFL Cup and EFL Trophy. The season covers the period from 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2019. Scunthorpe United F
Scunthorpe () is an industrial town in Lincolnshire, England, and the county's third most populous settlement after Lincoln, England, Lincoln and Grimsby, with a population of 81,286 in 2021. It is the administrative centre and largest settlement of the North Lincolnshire district. Scunthorpe lies north of Lincoln and is between Grimsby to the east and Doncaster to the west, while Kingston upon Hull, Hull is to the north-east via the Humber Bridge. Jack Levi Sutton (born 24 March 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender or midfielder for club Harrogate Town. Club career Sutton came through the ranks at Bottesford Town and Scunthorpe United, he signed his first pro contract with Scunthorpe on 2 June 2015. Although, his first three involvements with the Scunthorpe first-team matchday squad came during September 2014 when he was an unused substitute in games against Chesterfield, Coventry City and Leyton Orient. Sutton made his Scunthorpe league debut on 28 March 2016 in a 6–0 home victory over Swindon Town. After four further appearances in all competitions for Scunthorpe, Sutton departed in November to join National League side North Ferriby United on loan for a month. Olufela Oladele Ayodeji Olomola (born 5 September 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a winger or as a forward for side Bromley. Known to teammates as "Fela", Olomola holds both British and Nigerian citizenship. Club career Southampton Born in London, England to Nigerian parents, Olomola is a former Arsenal youth graduate. He scored five goals in 26 appearances for the Southampton under-18s during the 2014–15 campaign. Kyle Leon Wootton (born 11 October 1996) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for club Stockport County. Career Scunthorpe Wootton joined Scunthorpe United at the age of 10 in 2007, and signed his first professional contract in 2014. He made his first-team debut for Scunthorpe on 26 August 2014, in a 1–0 loss in the second round of the League Cup at home to Reading. He signed an 18-month professional contract in January 2015.
