2018–19 Ranji Trophy Group C
The 2018–19 Ranji Trophy was the 85th season of the Ranji Trophy, the first-class cricket tournament that took place in India. It was contested by 37 teams, divided into four groups, with ten teams in Group C. The group stage ran from 1 November 2018 to 10 January 2019. The top two teams from Group C progressed to the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy#Quarter-finals, quarter-finals of the competition. On 2 January 2019, Rajasthan cricket team, Rajasthan became the first team to qualify for the quarter-finals, after they beat Goa cricket team, Goa by ten wickets. Goa cricket team, Goa were relegated from Group C to the Plate Group for the next season. On the final day of the group stage, Uttar Pradesh cricket team, Uttar Pradesh qualified from Group C for the quarter-finals. In cricket, a batsman is not out if they come out to bat in an innings and have not been dismissed by the end of an innings. The batsman is also ''not out'' while their innings is still in progress. Parvez Rasool (born 13 February 1989) is an Indian cricketer hailing from Bijbehara township of south Kashmir’s Anantnag District, who plays as an all-rounder for Jammu and Kashmir. Jammu And Kashmir Cricket Team
The Jammu and Kashmir cricket team is a cricket team based in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, run by JKCA. It is in the Elite Group C of the Ranji Trophy. Its main home ground is the Sher-i-Kashmir Stadium in Srinagar, and it also plays at Gandhi Memorial Science College Ground in Jammu. History Jammu and Kashmir first took part in the Ranji Trophy in 1959–60. Until recent seasons it had always been one of the weaker teams. Jayaraman Madanagopal (born 7 November 1974) is an Indian cricket umpire and former first-class cricketer. Having officiated in matches in the Ranji Trophy, Madanagopal stood in his first Twenty20 International (T20I), between India and New Zealand, on 19 November 2021.
