2018–19 Cypriot Cup
The 2018–19 Cypriot Cup was the 77th edition of the Cypriot Cup. A total of 24 clubs were accepted to enter the competition. It began on 5 December 2018 with the first round and concluded on 22 May 2019 with the final held at GSP Stadium. The winner of the Cup was AEL Limassol for seventh time and qualified for the 2019–20 UEFA Europa League#Second qualifying round, 2019–20 Europa League second qualifying round. First round The first round draw took place on 5 December 2018 and the matches were played on 5 December 2018. Second round The second round draw took place on 21 December 2017. Cypriot Cup
The Cypriot Cup, formally known as the Cypriot Coca-Cola Cup of First and Second Division () for sponsorship purposes, is a Cypriot knockout football club competition, hosted annually by the Cyprus Football Association. First held in 1934, it is the second most important competition in Cypriot football, after the Cypriot First Division. Since 2008, it is contested by teams from the first and Cypriot Second Division, second division, while teams from the Cypriot Third Division, third and STOK Elite Division, fourth division compete in the Cypriot Cup for lower divisions. The winners of the Cypriot Cup qualify for one of UEFA competitions, UEFA's European competitions, and a place in the Cypriot Super Cup. APOEL FC, APOEL are the most successful team in the competition with 21 titles. Tsirio Stadium
The Tsirio Stadium () is an all-seater multi-purpose stadium in Limassol, Cyprus. The stadium holds 13,331 people and is mostly used for football matches. It was the home ground of the three biggest clubs in Limassol, which have now moved to the Alphamega Stadium. The football pitch is surrounded by an athletics track and serves as the home ground of the Limassol GSO (Gymnastikos Syllogos Olympia) Athletics Club. History The stadium was built in 1975 with the help of Petros I. Tsiros, a famous businessman and philanthropist of the city, to replace the aging GSO Stadium. Nikoloz "Nika" Kacharava ( ka, ნიკოლოზ "ნიკა" კაჭარავა, tr, ; born 13 January 1994) is a Georgian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Erovnuli Liga club Gareji. Michal Ďuriš (; born 1 June 1988) is a Slovak professional footballer who plays for Spartak Trnava as a forward. Club career Ďuriš joined Banská Bystrica from ŠK Petrochema Dubová when he was 14. Gordon Schildenfeld (born 18 March 1985) is a Croatian Association football, football Manager (association football), manager and former player who played as a centre-back. Danijel Pranjić (born 2 December 1981) is a Croatian professional football manager and former player. Akritas Chlorakas () is a Cypriot football club based in Chloraka, Paphos. The club was founded in 1971 and currently plays in the Cypriot Second Division.
