2018–19 Chinese Basketball Association Season
The 2018–19 CBA season was the 24th season of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). In this campaign, the regular season expands from 38 games to 46 games, while the playoffs expand from 10 teams to 12 teams. Team changes The Shanxi Brave Dragons changed their official English name to the Shanxi Loongs at a lavish unveiling ceremony in September. “Loongs” is the Cantonese term for Dragons and was chosen by team ownership, even though people living in Shanxi speak Mandarin Chinese. 2017–18 Chinese Basketball Association Season
The 2017–18 CBA season was the 23rd season of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). The regular season was initially scheduled to begin on Saturday, October 21, 2017, with the Guangdong Southern Tigers hosting the Shenzhen Leopards, but later rescheduled to Saturday, October 28, 2017, with the defending champion Xinjiang Flying Tigers hosting the Jilin Northeast Tigers. The regular season ended on Sunday, February 11, 2018, and the playoffs begin on Saturday, March 3, 2018. In this season, the playoffs were expanded from eight to ten teams. Bayi Rockets
The Bayi Rockets ( zh, c=八一双鹿电池火箭 , p=Bāyī Shuānglù Diànchí Huǒjiàn) were a professional basketball team based in Nanchang, Jiangxi, China, which played in the South Division of the Chinese Basketball Association. The Rockets were the only CBA team owned and governed by the People's Liberation Army (PLA). On 20 October 2020, The Chinese Basketball Association announced that the Rockets had withdrawn from Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) following a decision by the PLA. Jinjiang City () is a county-level city under Quanzhou, Quanzhou City, Fujian, Fujian Province, China. Fujian SBS Xunxing Sturgeons (Simplified Chinese: 福建SBS浔兴鲟) or Fujian Xunxing or Fujian SBS are a Chinese professional men's basketball team in the Chinese Basketball Association, based in Jinjiang, Quanzhou, Fujian. Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium (Beijing)
The Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium () is an indoor arena next to the Olympic Sports Centre (Beijing), Olympic Sports Center Stadium at the southern part of the Olympic Green in Beijing, China. It was reformed for the 2008 Summer Olympics where it hosted the Handball at the 2008 Summer Olympics, handball tournaments up to and including the quarter-finals, after which they moved to the larger Beijing National Indoor Stadium. Following the handball competitions, the 2008 Beijing Wushu Tournament took place at the venue. Zhuji () is a county-level city under the administration of the prefecture-level city of Shaoxing, in north-central Zhejiang province, China, located about south of Hangzhou.
