The 2018–19 Biathlon World Cup (BWC) was a multi-race series over a season of biathlon, organised by the International Biathlon Union. The season started on 2 December 2018 in Pokljuka, Slovenia and ended on 24 March 2019 in Oslo Holmenkollen, Norway. Michal Krčmář
Michal Krčmář (; born 23 January 1991) is a Czech biathlete and an Olympic silver medalist in the sprint at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. He was a part of the silver junior men's relay at Biathlon Junior World Championships 2012. Since 2013–14 season he has competed regularly at Biathlon World Cup and has amassed 300 World Cup Starts. He has competed at ten World Championships and three Olympic Games, including the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, and the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. His father, Daniel, represented Slovakia in biathlon at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer. Personal life In April 2022, his long-time partner Ramona gave birth to their first child Viktor. Andrejs Rastorgujevs (born 27 May 1988) is a Latvian biathlete. He has participated in three Winter Olympics, and has two individual and one relay Biathlon World Cup podium. Career Andrejs Rastorgujevs is a biathlete from Latvia. In the first event of 2009–10 Biathlon World Cup in Östersund he participated in 10 km sprint, where he finished 47th, but later on he was disqualified for finishing in the wrong lane. 2012-13 Biathlon World Cup was the breakthrough season for Rastorgujevs, finishing the season 36th overall. Next year he finished the season 16th overall, while earning four Top 6 finishes. After finishing fourth four times during his career, during the last race of 2016-17 Biathlon World Cup he finally won his first podium, finishing second at the 15 km mass start in Oslo. Christian Gow (born March 28, 1993) is a former Canadian biathlete. Gow is the younger brother of Canadian biathlete Scott Gow, competing alongside each other representing Canada at World Championships and both the 2018 and 2022 Winter Olympics. Career In January 2018, Gow was named to Canada's 2018 Olympic team. In January 2022, Gow was named to Canada's 2022 Olympic team. At the games, Gow was part of the relay team that finished in 6th, Canada's highest ever placement in the event. He retired at the end of the 2023/24 season. Sebastian Samuelsson (born 28 March 1997) is a Swedish biathlete who competes internationally. He participated in the 2018 Winter Olympics; there he won a silver medal in the 12.5 km pursuit event as well as the gold medal in the relay.
