2018–19 Belarusian Cup
2018–19 Belarusian Cup is the 28th season of the Belarusian annual cup competition. Contrary to the league season, it is conducted in a fall-spring rhythm. It started in May 2018 and concluded with the final match in May 2019. FC Shakhtyor Soligorsk, Shakhtyor Soligorsk won the Cup and qualified for the 2019–20 UEFA Europa League#First qualifying round, first qualifying round of the 2019–20 UEFA Europa League. Participating clubs The following teams participated in the competition: First round In this round 2 amateur clubs were drawn against 2 Second League clubs. The draw was performed on 3 May 2018. The matches were played on 12 and 13 May 2018. Another 3 amateur clubs and 12 Second League clubs were given a bye to the Second Round. FC Rukh Brest, Rukh Brest did not participate. FC Shakhtyor Soligorsk
FC Shakhtyor Soligorsk (, ) was a Belarus, Belarusian association football, football club, playing in the city of Salihorsk (Soligorsk). History The club was founded in 1961. During Soviet era, Shakhtyor Soligorsk played in the top or second division of the Belarusian SSR league, occasionally dropping to lower tiers (Minsk Oblast league) for a short time. In 1971, Shakhtyor absorbed two other local Soligorsk teams (Khimik and Gornyak). Their best results came toward the end of Soviet days, when the team finished as league runners-up twice (1988, 1990) and won the Belarusian SSR Cup three times (1985, 1986, 1988). Since 1992, Shakhtyor has been playing in Belarusian Premier League. The team struggled through the 1990s, usually fighting against relegation. FC Gomel () is a Belarusian association football, football club based in the city of Gomel. Their home stadium is Central Stadium (Gomel), Central Stadium. History Teams from Gomel (usually city or raion selection or railway-based team ''Lokomotiv'', but not always) played in the Belarusian SSR championships since the early 1920s. In 1946, Byelorussian SSR league for one season becomes one of the zones of the USSR 3rd level league, and ''Lokomotiv Gomel'' became the first city team to play in the Soviet league. The modern Gomel team was founded in 1959 as ''Lokomotiv Gomel''. They played at the 2nd level of Soviet football between 1959 and 1968. FC Slavia Mozyr or FK Slaviya Mazyr (, ) is a Belarusian professional football club based in Mazyr, Belarus. History The team was founded in 1987 as Polessie (Polesia). Between 1987 and 1991, they played in the Belarusian SSR league. From 1992 till 1995, they played in the Belarusian First League. They changed their name to MPKC Mazyr since the 1994–95 season. FC Torpedo Minsk or PFK Tarpeda Minsk (; ) is a Belarusian football club, playing in Minsk. The team plays their home games at the Torpedo Stadium in Minsk, which holds 4,800 people. They currently play in Belarusian Second League. History During Soviet years, Torpedo was playing in the Belarusian SSR top league and won championships in 1947, 1962, 1966, 1967 and 1969. FC Smolevichi (, ), was a Belarusian football club based in Smalyavichy (Smolevichi), Minsk Oblast. History The team was founded in 2009 as Vigvam Smolevichi.
