2018 Taini Jamison Trophy Series
The 2018 Taini Jamison Trophy Series was the tenth Taini Jamison Trophy series. New Zealand hosted Fiji, Jamaica and Malawi in a full tournament, played in March 2018, at the North Shore Events Centre. It was effectively a warm-up tournament, ahead of the 2018 Commonwealth Games. The series was broadcast live on Sky Sport in New Zealand and on Kwesé Sports in Sub-Saharan Africa. It was also streamed live via Facebook. With a team featuring Jhaniele Fowler Reid, Romelda Aiken and Shamera Sterling, Jamaica won their first Taini Jamison Trophy. During the tournament, they twice defeated New Zealand, once in the preliminary rounds and again in the final. Despite winning the series, Netball New Zealand refused to allow Jamaica to take the actual trophy home, stating that "for insurance purposes... we can't really have it go offshore". World Netball
World Netball, previously known as the International Netball Federation and the International Federation of Netball Associations, is the worldwide governing body for Netball. Khadijah Williams
Khadijah Williams (born 29 December 1994) is a Jamaican international netball player. Primarily a midcourter, Williams debuted for the Jamaica national netball team, the Sunshine Girls, in 2013 against England. She was a member of the team that won bronze at the 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth Games, and that finished fourth at the 2015 Netball World Cup. Jodi-Ann Ward (born 1 September 1994) is a Jamaican netball player who plays in the Australian Suncorp Super Netball league for Giants Netball. She has also represented the Jamaica at an international level since 2017. Career Ward made her international debut in late 2017 against Barbados at the age of 22. She was also selected for the Jamaican netball team to take part at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. She was a key member of the Jamaican squad which stunned New Zealand in the bronze medal match as a part of the 2018 Commonwealth Games. As of October 2019 she has attained 25 test caps. Ward has played domestic netball in several countries. Unouna Afa Rusivakula (born 22 June 1992) is a Fijian netball player. Rusivakula began playing in Fiji with the Shine On team in the Lautoka Netball Association.
