2018 Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference
The 2018 Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference was the 5th conference of the Premier Volleyball League (32nd conference of the former Shakey's V-League). Conference started on July 21, 2018 and ended on September 12, 2018 at the Filoil Flying V Centre, San Juan, Metro Manila. This was the last conference in which the PVL held a men's division, as beginning with the 2018 Open Conference, the division would be held under the relaunched Spikers' Turf. Premier Volleyball League
The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) is the top-level professional women's volleyball league in the Philippines organized by the Sports Vision Management Group, Inc. The PVL was established in 2004 as the inter-collegiate Shakey's V-League (SVL) until it rebranded to the current entity in 2017. Prior to becoming a full-fledged professional league in 2021, the PVL was open to participation of corporate owned semi-professional clubs and non-collegiate teams backed by local governments. The PVL previously operated men's and collegiate divisions before they were spun-off into Spikers' Turf and the V-League (Philippines), V-League, respectively, both are also operated by Sports Vision. San Sebastian Lady Stags Volleyball
The San Sebastian Lady Stags is the women's collegiate volleyball teams of San Sebastian College-Recoletos. They compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). History San Sebastian Lady Stags joined NCAA in 1969. They have the longest champion streak in NCAA history with 10 from 1987 to 1997. They also have the most championships overall with 23. Aurea Francesca "Cesca" Racraquin (born October 5, 1996) is a Filipino volleyball player of the collegiate varsity volleyball team of San Beda College that plays in the NCAA. Cesca played for the Creamline Cool Smashers in the Premier Volleyball League that debuted during the 2017 PVL Reinforced Conference. Career Racraquin won the NCAA Season 92 Rookie of the Year award before joining the Creamline Cool Smashers club that won the 2017 reinforced and open conferences' bronze medals. In the second season (2018) of the Premier Volleyball League, Racraquin transferred to Pocari Sweat Lady Warriors. George Pascua
George Pascua is a Filipino volleyball coach who is the head coach of the Adamson Soaring Falcons' men's volleyball team. He was the head coach of the PLDT High Speed Hitters during the 2022 season of the Premier Volleyball League. He was also a longtime coach of the Far Eastern University's women's volleyball team and a former player of the university's men's team. Career Playing career Prior to becoming a volleyball coach, Pascua was part of the Far Eastern University's (FEU) men's volleyball team playing alongside Ramil De Jesus. Jerry Yee (born April 14, 1974) is a Filipino volleyball coach who is the head coach of the Zus Coffee Thunderbelles of the Premier Volleyball League, the UE Lady Red Warriors of the UAAP, and the Benilde Lady Blazers of the NCAA. Career High school Prior to becoming a coach in the collegiate level, Yee was in charge of Hope Christian High School's girls volleyball program as its coach. The College of Saint Benilde Lady Blazers are the volleyball team of De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde. History The CSB Lady Blazers first joined NCAA women's volleyball tournament in 1998. The Spikers' Turf is the top-level men's semi-professional volleyball league in the Philippines organized by the Sports Vision Management Group, Inc. (Sports Vision), established in 2015. History The league had its beginnings in 2014, when the Shakey's V-League introduced a men's division during its Shakey's V-League 11th Season Reinforced Open Conference, 21st conference. The following year, Sports Vision decided to spin off the men's division as a separate league, giving birth to the Spikers' Turf. In late-2016, Sports Vision announced that the league be merged back in the 2017 season with the Shakey's V-League (which was renamed as the Premier Volleyball League; PVL).
