The 2018 PGA Tour Latinoamérica was the seventh season of PGA Tour Latinoamérica, the main professional golf tour in Latin America, operated and run by the PGA Tour. Schedule The following table lists official events during the 2018 season. Unofficial events The following events were sanctioned by the PGA Tour Latinoamérica, but did not carry official money, nor were wins official. Order of Merit The PGA Tour Latinoamérica#Order of Merit winners, Order of Merit was based on prize money won during the season, calculated in U.S. dollars. The top five players on the Order of Merit earned status to play on the 2019 Korn Ferry Tour. Developmental Series The 2018 PGA Tour Latinoamérica Developmental Series was the sixth season of the PGA Tour Latinoamérica Developmental Series, the official development tour to the PGA Tour Latinoamérica between 2013 and 2023. Michael Buttacavoli
Michael Anthony Buttacavoli (born March 26, 1988) is an American professional golfer who played on Web.com Tour, PGA Tour Latinoamérica, and NGA Pro Golf Tour. Amateur career Prior to turning professional, Buttacavoli represented the Rice Owls at college and was their leading golfer during the 2009–10 season. Professional career Buttacavoli turned professional in 2010 and played on the NGA Pro Golf Tour in 2011 and 2012 seasons before gaining membership to PGA Tour Latinoamérica for the 2013 season. In 2013, Buttacavoli managed two top-10 finishes on PGA Tour Latinoamérica, eventually finishing 30th in the Order of Merit and retaining his playing rights for the 2014 season. In May 2014, Buttcavoli recorded his first professional win at the Dominican Republic Open after overcoming a six stroke deficit on the final seven holes and winning a three hole playoff. Marcelo Rozo Rengifo (born 6 September 1989) is a Colombian professional golfer who plays on Korn Ferry Tour. Professional career Rozo turned professional in 2012. He became a full-time member of PGA Tour Latinoamérica in 2013 and won his first title on the tour at the Visa Open de Argentina on 8 December 2013. Having shot a course record 64 in the second round, Rozo eventually won the tournament by two strokes in a field including two-time major winner Ángel Cabrera. Rozo earned his second win on PGA Tour Latinoamérica at the TransAmerican Power Products CRV Open at Guadalajara on 23 March 2014, eagling the second playoff hole in a seven-way playoff. The Brazil Open or Aberto do Brasil is an annual golf tournament held in Brazil. It was founded in 1945 and was an event on the Tour de las Américas on several occasions, most recently in 2005. It is now an event on PGA Tour Americas. Toni Hakula (born 27 September 1991) is a Finnish professional golfer. He has three victories in PGA Tour-organized third-tier tours in Mexico, Ecuador and the United States. As an amateur, he won the 2012 NCAA Championship with Texas and was runner-up at The Amateur Championship in 2013. The Dominican Republic Open (also known as The DR Open) was a men's professional golf tournament on PGA Tour Latinoamérica. The event was originally hosted as a combined amateur stableford and professional stroke play competition by The Dominican Golf Federation in 2010 and 2011.
