2018 PDC Pro Tour
The 2018 PDC Pro Tour was a series of non-televised darts tournaments organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). Players Championships, UK Open Qualifiers and European Tour events are the events that make up the Pro Tour. In this year there are 41 PDC Pro Tour events being held – 22 Players Championships, six UK Open Qualifiers and 13 European Tour events. This page also includes results from the PDC’s affiliated tours including the Development and Challenge Tours and all the regional tours as well as the results from the World Championship regional qualifiers. Prize money The prize money for the UK Open Qualifiers and Players Championship and European Tour events stayed the same as 2017. PDC Pro Tour
The PDC Pro Tour is a series of non-televised darts tournaments organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). They comprise Professional Dart Players Association (PDPA) Players Championships and European Tour events. Only four players have gone on to win at least 30 titles on the PDC Pro Tour. Michael van Gerwen has won the most Pro Tour titles with 89. Phil Taylor is second on the list winning 70 events. Gary Anderson is in third, winning 39 events, and Peter Wright is in fourth, winning 34 events, as of May 2025. 2024 PDC Pro Tour Order of Merit as of 31 Oct:Prize money in the tables is in units of £1,000. Saarlandhalle is a 5,500-capacity multi-purpose indoor arena located in Saarbrücken, Germany. 2018 German Darts Open
The 2018 German Darts Open was the third of thirteen PDC European Tour events on the 2018 PDC Pro Tour. The tournament took place at Saarlandhalle, Saarbrücken, Germany, between 13–15 April 2018. It featured a field of 48 players and £135,000 in prize money, with £25,000 going to the winner. Peter Wright was the defending champion after defeating Benito van de Pas 6–5 in the final of the 2017 tournament, but he was knocked out in the second round of the tournament by Germany's Max Hopp. Hopp went on to win his first PDC senior event, after defeating Michael Smith 8–7 in the final. Hopp also became the first Host Nation Qualifier to make the final of an event of the PDC European Tour. It also marks the first time a German player won a PDC tour event. Zenith (building)
The Kulturhalle Zenith (also known as the Zenith Halle or simply Zenith) is an events hall located in the Schwabing-Freimann borough of Munich, Germany. Originally opening in 1918 as a part of a railway repair shop, the hall was converted into performance venue in 1994. Since its opening in August 1996, it has hosted concerts, fairs and company presentations. History The venue was built in 1918 as Halle 5 of the Ausbesserungswerk München-Freimann. Used as a railway construction and reparation hall, the venue faced massive damage during World War II. The hall reopened in 1927, becoming a boiling shop for locomotives. The shop remained in operation until 1992. It was sold by Deutsche Bahn to local entrepreneur Wolfgang Nöth. In 1994, Nöth began converting the space into a performance venue. The 2018 German Darts Grand Prix was the second of thirteen PDC European Tour events on the 2018 PDC Pro Tour. The tournament took place at Kulturhalle Zenith, Munich, Germany, between 31 March–2 April 2018. It featured a field of 48 players and £135,000 in prize money, with £25,000 going to the winner. Michael van Gerwen was the defending champion, after defeating Rob Cross 6–3 in the final of the 2017 tournament, and he retained his title by defeating Peter Wright 8–5 in the final. 2018 European Darts Open
The 2018 European Darts Open was the first of thirteen PDC European Tour events on the 2018 PDC Pro Tour. The tournament took place at Ostermann-Arena, Leverkusen, Germany, between 23–25 March 2018. It featured a field of 48 players and £135,000 in prize money, with £25,000 going to the winner. This was the first event in the PDC European Tour where the format of the semi-finals and final were slightly altered. As in previous years, the first 3 rounds of action, plus the quarter-finals were all best of 11 legs matches, but the semi-finals became best of 13 legs matches, and the final became a best of 15 legs match. Peter Wright was the defending champion after defeating Mervyn King 6–2 in the final of the 2017 tournament. He reached the final of this tournament, but he was defeated by Michael van Gerwen 8–7 in the first best of 15 legs final.
