The 2018 Enfield Council election took place on Thursday 3 May 2018 to elect members of Enfield London Borough Council in London, England. The whole council was up for election and the Labour party retained overall control of the council. 2022 Enfield London Borough Council Election
The 2022 Enfield London Borough Council election took place on 5 May 2022, alongside local elections in the other London boroughs and elections to local authorities across the United Kingdom. All 63 members of Enfield London Borough Council were elected. In the previous election in 2018, the Labour Party maintained its control of the council, winning 46 out of the 63 seats with the Conservative Party forming the council opposition with the remaining 17 seats. The 2022 election took place under new election boundaries, which however kept the same number of councillors as before. In 2022, Labour was re-elected for a fourth term. Enfield London Borough Council is the local authority for the London Borough of Enfield in Greater London, England. It is one of 32 London borough councils in the United Kingdom capital of London. History There have previously been a number of local authorities responsible for the Enfield area. The current local authority was first elected in 1964, a year before formally coming into its powers and prior to the creation of the London Borough of Enfield on 1 April 1965. The London Borough of Enfield () is a London borough in North London. It borders the London boroughs of Barnet to the west, Haringey to the south, and Waltham Forest to the southeast.
