The 2017–18 Ukrainian Hockey League season was the 26th season of the Ukrainian Hockey Championship. Six teams participated in the league this season, and HC Donbass won the championship. Ukrainian Hockey Championship
The Ukrainian Hockey Championship (, '' tr: Chempionat Ukrayiny z Khokeyu'') is an annual ice hockey award and national title, bestowed to the ice hockey organization judged to have the best performing team in Ukraine, founded in 1992. Prior to the 2015–16 season, the league playing for the title took the name Ukrainian Hockey Extra League. In 2016, the new Ukrainian Hockey League was created instead, which folded in 2021. History First Ukrainian hockey competitions were conducting since February 1949. Prior to the formation of the Professional Hockey League (PHL), the Ice Hockey Federation of Ukraine (FHU) administered and handed out the award, allowing both amateur and professional teams to compete in an annual regular season, then playoff for the title. HC Donbass
Hockey Club Donbass (; ''Romanization of Ukrainian, tr. Hokeinyi Klub Donbas'') is a Ukraine, Ukrainian professional ice hockey team based in Druzhkivka, that played in the Ukrainian Hockey League and briefly the KHL. HC Donbass is a six time Ukrainian champion (2011, 2012, 2013, 2016, 2017, 2018). The team was a member of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) during the 2012–13 KHL season, 2012–13 and 2013–14 KHL season, 2013–14 seasons, and was the sole representative from Ukraine competing at the elite international level. HC Kremenchuk
HC Kremenchuk () is an ice hockey team based in Kremenchuk, Ukraine, playing in the Ukrainian Hockey Extra League that was formed prior to the 2016–17 season. The club was founded in 2010 and initially competed in Ukrainian amateur championships before joining the Belarusian Vysshaya Liga for 2013–14 season. After finishing the regular 2013–14 season Kremenchuk was forced to withdraw from the league prior to the playoffs due to the political situation in Ukraine. The team then joined the Ukrainian Championship for the 2014–15 season, winning the regular season and finishing as runners-up in the playoffs. Bilyi Bars
Hockey Club Bilyi Bars Bila Tserkva () is a Ukraine, Ukrainian Professional ice hockey, professional ice hockey team based in Bila Tserkva, Ukraine. The club was a founding member of the Professional Hockey League of Ukraine and now playing in the Ukrainian Hockey League. History The Bilyi Bars were founded in 2008. MHC Dynamo Kharkiv
Hockey Club Dynamo Kharkiv () is a Ukrainian ice hockey club based in Kharkiv. The team was founded in 1979 and ceased to exist in 1992. Kharkiv Sharks (founded in 2008) were a founding member of the Professional Hockey League of Ukraine, were renamed to Dynamo Kharkiv in 2012 and disbanded in 2014. In 2017 the team re-formed again as MHC Dynamo Kharkiv.
