2017–18 Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks Basketball Team
The 2017–18 Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks basketball team represented Stephen F. Austin State University during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Lumberjacks were led by second-year head coach Kyle Keller (basketball), Kyle Keller and played their home games at the William R. Johnson Coliseum in Nacogdoches, Texas as members of the Southland Conference. They finished the season 28–7, 14–4 in Southland play, to finish in third place. They defeated 2017–18 Central Arkansas Bears basketball team, Central Arkansas, 2017–18 Nicholls State Colonels men's basketball team, Nicholls State, and 2017–18 Southeastern Louisiana Lions basketball team, Southeastern Louisiana to become champions of the 2018 Southland Conference men's basketball tournament, Southland tournament. Kyle Keller (basketball)
Kyle Edward Keller (born January 16, 1968) is an American basketball coach who is currently an assistant coach at Texas A&M Aggies men's basketball, Texas A&M University. Previously, he served as an assistant coach at Kansas Jayhawks men's basketball, Kansas, Oklahoma State Cowboys basketball, Oklahoma State, UTSA Roadrunners men's basketball, UTSA, and Louisiana Tech Bulldogs basketball, Louisiana Tech, as well as head coach at Tyler Junior College and Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks basketball, Stephen F. Austin State University. Coaching career Keller started his coaching career as an assistant at Louisiana Tech Bulldogs basketball, Louisiana Tech. After a four-year stint, Keller joined the staff at Tyler Junior College before taking a position as an assistant at UTSA Roadrunners men's basketball, UTSA for one season.
