2017–18 Kerala Premier League
The 2017–18 Kerala Premier League Season was the fifth season of the Kerala Premier League. The season featured 10 teams which was divided into 2 groups with each having 5 and is played on a home-and-away format. The season kicked off on 7 April 2018. Teams On 4 April 2018, it was announced that the then last champion KSEB pulled from the 2017–18 season citing financial reason. Another PSU team AG'S Office also pulled out due to internal departmental issues. Kerala Blasters FC Reserves and Quartz FC were added making 2017–18 season a 10-team affair. The Kerala Premier League is the highest state football leagues in India, state-level association football, football league organized by the Kerala Football Association and played in the state of Kerala, India. Suhair Vadakkepeedika (born 27 July 1992), commonly known as VP Suhair, is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a forward for I-League club Gokulam Kerala. Early life Suhair was born on 27 July 1992 in Edathanattukara, Palakkad, Kerala. He is a product of United SC. He started his career playing for Calicut University and local clubs in Kerala. He also represented the Kerala football team in the National Games and the Santosh Trophy. Later he joined Kolkata outfit United SC and played in the Calcutta Football League. Club career I-League clubs East Bengal signed him in December 2016. He scored a hat-trick in his first match against Rainbow AC. Shaiborlang Kharpan (born 19 August 1995) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Calcutta Football League club Diamond Harbour.
