2017–18 Eredivisie
The 2017–18 Eredivisie was the 62nd season of the Eredivisie since its establishment in 1955. The season began on 11 August 2017 and concluded on 6 May 2018; the Europa League and relegation play-offs took place later that month. Feyenoord were the defending champions from the previous season. On 15 April 2018, PSV became champions for the 24th time after defeating their closest rival Ajax 3–0 at the Philips Stadion. FC Lisse
FC Lisse is a Dutch football club from Lisse, founded in 1981. It currently plays in the Derde Divisie. History The history of FC Lisse is linked to its Catholic religion, the first version of a football club being formed in 1911 by a local Catholic priest, called Lissese Voetbal Vereniging, which was later renamed Lisse Racing Club. In 1921 a separate team, RKVV Lisse, was formed. In 1942 Lisse RC was dissolved, and after World War Two another club, Lisser Boys, was formed. In 1968 an unsuccessful attempt was made to merge RKVV Lisse (later called Sportclub Lisse) and Lisser Boys, but on 17 March 1981 the teams were merged under the name FC Lisse. The club was automatically promoted to Topklasse in 2009–10, which was introduced as highest amateur level in the Netherlands. HV & CV Quick, also known as Quick Den Haag, is a Dutch football and cricket club from The Hague. Since 2017, its first male football squad plays in the Derde Divisie. Quick is the Dutch National Football Champion of 1908 and Dutch National Cup winner of 1909, 1910, 1911, and 1916. The cricket departments of both men and women have won the national championship several times. Aanhouden Doet Overwinnen 1920, simply known as ADO '20, is a Dutch association football club from Heemskerk. They are currently playing in the Dutch Tweede Divisie. The club was founded on 15 May 1920 as ''Aanhouden Doet Overwinnen 1920''. The home games are played at Sportpark de Vlotter. In February 2007, ADO '20 entered into a partnership with AZ Alkmaar in the field of youth development, knowledge exchange and scouting. Voetbalvereniging Spijkenisse is a football club from Spijkenisse, Netherlands. In 2017–18, VV Spijkenisse played its sole season in the Saturday Derde Divisie. Since 2023, it plays in the Eerste Klasse, after relegating from the Vierde Divisie. 2016–17 Derde Divisie
The 2016–17 Derde Divisie season is the first edition of the new Dutch fourth tier, formerly called Topklasse, since the restructuring of the league system in the summer of 2016. This change in the league system was approved in a KNVB assembly in December 2014. A new semi-professional level Tweede Divisie was added at the third tier, thus the Derde Divisie and leagues below it decremented by one level, and furthermore, promotion and relegation between the Tweede Divisie and the new Derde Divisie became effective.
