2017–18 Harvard Crimson Men's Basketball Team
The 2017–18 Harvard Crimson men's basketball team represented Harvard University during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Crimson, led by 11th-year head coach Tommy Amaker, played their home games at Lavietes Pavilion in Boston, Massachusetts as members of the Ivy League. They finished the season 18–14, 12–2 in Ivy League play to share the Ivy League regular season championship with 2017–18 Penn Quakers men's basketball team, Penn. As the No. 1 seed in the 2018 Ivy League men's basketball tournament, Ivy League tournament, they defeated 2017–18 Cornell Big Red men's basketball team, Cornell in the semifinals before losing to Penn in the championship game. Tommy Amaker
Harold Tommy Amaker Jr. (; born June 6, 1965) is an American college basketball coach and the head coach of the Harvard University men's basketball team. He has also coached for the University of Michigan and Seton Hall University. He played point guard and later served as an assistant coach at Duke University under Mike Krzyzewski. An All-American player, Amaker set numerous records and earned many honors and awards. He took Seton Hall to the post season in each of his four seasons as their coach, helped Michigan win the National Invitation Tournament the year after a probationary ban from postseason play, and had the three highest single-season win totals in the history of Harvard basketball, the school's first six Ivy League championships and first NCAA tournament victory. Zena Edosomwan
Kinsley Edosomwan (born December 6, 1993) is an American professional basketball player for Gifu Swoops of the B.League. He earned second-team all-conference honors in the Ivy League in 2016. He is the founder and CEO of the Unfiltered Network, which profiles college students of various backgrounds. Early life Edosomwan was born in Houston, Texas, and raised in Los Angeles, California, where he started playing basketball at the age of seven. His parents—Muyiya Ololade and Kehinde Ololade—are both Nigerian immigrants, and encouraged Edosomwan to begin playing basketball and prepared him to attend Harvard-Westlake preparatory school in Los Angeles, where he was coached by Greg Hilliard.
