2017–18 Croatian Second Football League
The 2017–18 Croatian Second Football League (also known as Druga HNL and 2. HNL) was the 27th season of the Croatian Second Football League, the second level football competition for men's association football teams in Croatia, since its establishment in 1992. The season started on 18 August 2017 and ended on 23 May 2018. The league is contested by twelve teams and played in a triple round robin format, with each team playing every other team three times over 33 rounds. Teams On 21 April 2017, Croatian Football Federation announced that the first stage of licensing procedure for 2016–17 season was completed. For the 2017–18 Druga HNL, eight clubs outside of top level were issued a second level license: Rudeš, Solin, Gorica, Dinamo Zagreb II, Dugopolje. In the second stage of licensing procedure clubs that were not licensed in the first round appealed the decision. Croatian Second Football League
The Croatian Second Football League (), commonly Druga NL or 2. NL, is the third tier of the Croatian football league system. The league was established in 1991, following the dissolution of the Yugoslav League. It is operated by the Croatian Football Federation. It was previously known as the Third Football League, but was renamed with the other leagues for the start of the 2022–23 season. Rules , at least three players under 21 years of age must play in each match, and only two foreign nationals are permitted to play for each team. Velika Gorica () is the largest and most populous city in Zagreb County, Croatia. According to the 2011 census, the city itself has a population of 31,341, and the municipality has a population of 63,517 inhabitants. Velika Gorica is the centre of the historical Turopolje region. Ivan Prelec
Ivan Prelec (born 24 July 1987) is a Croatian professional football manager. Managerial career He started as a manager in 2006, with only 19 years. He led the youth team of Dinamo Zagreb in 2014, while later he became the manager of the U17 team. In 2017, he went to HNK Gorica, where, at first, he served as an assistant manager, but in February 2018, he was named the head coach of the club. Managing Gorica, he won the 2017–18 Croatian Second Football League. In June 2018, he left Gorica and became the assistant manager of Legia Warsaw under the coaching staff of Dean Klafurić. Stadion Hrvatski vitezovi ( English: ''Croatian Knights Stadium'') is a football stadium in Dugopolje, near the city of Split in southern Croatia. Miroslav Bojko (born 30 September 1971) is a Croatian football manager and former player. Coaching career After HNK Cibalia manager Samir Toplak resigned on 27 July 2019, assistant manager Bojo took over as a caretaker manager. He lost his first game the next day against GNK Dinamo Zagreb and later on the same day, Željko Kopić was appointed as manager for the club, with Bojko continued as the assistant manager. After Željko Kopić resigning on 25 November 2012, Bojko became the caretaker once again. Later, he became the permanent manager. He left the club in July 2013.
