2017–18 Armenian First League
The 2017–18 Armenian First League season was the 26th since its establishment. The season was launched on August 7, 2017, and concluded on May 28, 2018. FC Banants#Banants-2, Banants-2 were the defending champions from the 2016–17 Armenian First League, previous season. Team changes 3 newly founded teams have joined the 2017–18 Armenian First League season: *Lori FC from Vanadzor, Lori Province *Artsakh FC from Yerevan *FC Ararat-Armenia, FC Ararat-Moskva Yerevan from Yerevan (played as ''FC Avan Academy'' during the 1st half of the season) Stadiums and locations 10 teams will take part in this season's competition, of which only 4 teams -Artsakh FC, Artsakh, Erebuni SC, Erebuni, Lori FC, Lori, and FC Ararat-Armenia, Ararat-Moskva- are eligible to get the promotion right to the 2018–19 Armenian Premier League by the end of the competition. Armenian First League
The Armenian First League () is currently the second level association football, football competition in Armenia after the Armenian Premier League. The competition exists mostly out of reserve teams of several Premier League clubs; however, other teams also participate. FC Pyunik
Football Club Pyunik (), commonly known as Pyunik (), is an Armenian professional sports club based in the Kentron neighbourhood of Yerevan. Pyunik is mostly known for its professional football team which, since its creation in 1992, has always played in the Armenian Premier League, becoming the most successful team of Armenia in number of official titles, with 34 won to date. Pyunik is also known to be one of the most popular football clubs in Armenia, along with Urartu, Shirak and Ararat. Vanadzor Football Academy
The Vanadzor Football Academy (), is a modern football training school-academy located in Armenia's third largest city of Vanadzor, Lori Province. It is the 3rd-largest football academy in Armenia. Overview The construction of the academy was launched in early 2014 by the initiative of the Football Federation of Armenia and the assistance of the UEFA. On 29 October 2016, the complex was officially opened by the Football Federation of Armenia, FFA president Ruben Hayrapetyan and the governor of Lori Province Artur Nalbandyan. The opening ceremony was attended by the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan. Kasaghi Marzik Stadium
Kasakhi Marzik Stadium () is a football stadium in Ashtarak, Armenia. It was opened in 1971 and is the former home ground of Mika, Ulisses, Aragats and Kasakh FC. The capacity of the stadium is 3,600. The administrator of the stadium is Armen Matevosyan. Aragatsotn Province
Aragatsotn (, ) is a administrative divisions of Armenia, province (''Marz (country subdivision), marz'') of Armenia. It is located in the western part of the country. The capital and largest city of the province is the town of Ashtarak. The Statistical Committee of Armenia reported its population was 128,941 in the 2022 census. Ashtarak
Ashtarak ( ) is a town in the Ashtarak Municipality of the Aragatsotn Province of Armenia, located on the left bank of Kasagh River along the gorge, 20 kms northwest of the capital Yerevan. It is the administrative centre of the province and an important crossroad of routes for the Yerevan–Gyumri–Vanadzor triangle. The town plays a great role in the national economy as well as the cultural life of Armenia through several industrial enterprises and cultural institutions. Yerevan Football Academy Stadium
The Yerevan Football Academy Stadium, officially the FFA Technical Center-Academy Stadium (), commonly known as the Yerevan Football Academy Stadium or the Avan Academy Stadium, is an all-seater football stadium in Yerevan, Armenia. It is located in the northern Avan District of the city, within the Technical Center-Academy complex of the Football Federation of Armenia. Avan District
Avan () is one of the Districts of Yerevan, 12 districts of Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. Originally an ancient village on a hill at the northeastern outskirts of Yerevan, Avan has been inhabited since pre-Christian times. In the 20th century, during the Soviet Union, Soviet period, the village was incorporated into the capital Yerevan. According to the 2022 census, Avan has a population of 55,094. Dzoraghbyur Training Centre
Dzoraghbyur Training Centre, is the training ground and academy base of the Armenian football club FC Ararat Yerevan. Overview Dzoraghbyur Training Centre was opened in 2007 on the grounds of the former Dzoraghbyur Sports Complex in the Dzoraghbyur village of Kotayk Province, 12 km east of the capital Yerevan. The complex was acquired by FC Ararat Yerevan earlier in 2003. In 2004, a large-scale rehabilitation and modernization process was launched. US$2 million was allocated by the club for the reconstruction works. The first phase of the training centre was completed in 2007.
