2016–17 KF Tirana Season
The 2016–17 season was KF Tirana, Klubi i Futbollit Tirana's 78th competitive season, 78th consecutive season in the Kategoria Superiore and 96th year in existence as a football club. Season overview June On 1 June, Disciplinary Committee of Albanian Football Association, AFA reduced the sentence of Gentian Muça from one year to only the first four matches of the new season. Eight days later, Elis Bakaj terminated his contract with the club and signed with the Croatian Prva HNL team RNK Split. On 13 June, Ilir Daja officially returned to Tirana after he was convinced by the club president Refik Halili, and during the press conference on the same day, they both presented the new project for the new season. On 15 June, the club parted ways with Ilir Avdyli after only six months of cooperation. Klubi i Futbollit Tirana is an Albanian professional football club based in the country's capital city, Tirana, that competes in the Kategoria Superiore, the top tier of Albanian football. The men's football club is part of the multi-disciplinary sports club SK Tirana, and is the most successful in Albania, having won 54 major domestic trophies. Radnički nogometni klub Split ("Workers' Football Club of Split") commonly known as RNK Split, is a Croatian professional football club based in the city of Split. Football Club Dinamo City, commonly referred to as Dinamo City and colloquially known as Dinamo, is an Albanian professional football club based out of Tirana. Marvin Turtulli (born 17 October 1994) is an Albanian former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. Club career Early career Turtulli started his youth career at FK Dinamo Tirana academies in 2011 and was placed immediately in the under-19 team. In the 2011–12 U-19 championship he played 18 matches mostly as a starter. He retained his place at under-19 side in the next season 2012–13 and in March 2013 he became part of the first team in the 2012–13 Albanian First Division. Ansi Nika (born 22 August 1990) is an Albanian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Club career Nika begun his professional career with Ada Velipojë where he played for two seasons, before joining his boyhood club Vllaznia Shkodër at the start of 2009–10 season. Nika signed a new one-year contract with Teuta Durrës on 19 June 2014. A day later, he was loaned out to Kukësi for their UEFA Europa League qualification games. Argjend Malaj (born 16 October 1993) is a Kosovar-Albanian professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for Swedish side Rosengård 1917. The 2016–17 UEFA Europa League qualifying phase and play-off round began on 28 June and ended on 25 August 2016. Ilion Lika (born 17 May 1980) is an Albanian former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. During his 25-year career span, Lika played more than 500 matches on club level. He began his professional career in 1999 with Dinamo Tirana, recording more than 200 appearances in all competitions before leaving for Elbasani in 2007. Lika moved for the first time aboard in January 2008 by joining Terek Grozny of Russian Premier League.
