2016–17 Jordan FA Cup
The 2016–17 Jordan FA Cup was the 37th season of the national football competition of Jordan. The winners of the competition will earn a spot in the 2018 AFC Cup. The 12 teams from the Jordan Premier League started in a group stage at round one. Six teams in two groups, with the top two sides progressing to the quarter-finals. Al-Faisaly SC (Amman)
Al-Faisaly Sports Club () is a Jordanian professional football club based in Amman. Founded in 1932, the club competes in the Jordanian Pro League, the top flight of Jordanian football. Nicknamed "the Blue Eagles", they were founded as Al-Ashbal Club in 1932. They won 84 official titles, 35 league titles, 21 Jordan FA Cups and 17 Jordan Super Cups, being the record holder for all these competitions, 9 Jordan FA Shields and 2 AFC Cups. Their main rival is Al-Wehdat, a club formed by a Palestinian refugee camp in Amman. History Foundation and first years The club was founded in 1932 under the name Al-Ashbal Club. Football was not the only sport they played. However, because of a lack of financial resources, they focused on the most popular sport in Jordan, football. Al-Baqa'a Club
Al-Baqa'a Club () is a professional football club based in Ain Al-Basha District, Balqa Governorate, Jordan. It currently competes in the Jordanian Pro League, the top flight of Jordanian football. It was formed by a Palestinian Baqa'a refugee camp in 1968. The club is owned by Husni Jallad, Abdulla Mustafa and Khaled Mustafa. The club has various sponsorships with the biggest being Aya's Knafeh which supplies Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. FTATRONIX INC has been another partner of the club, being responsible for the digital marketing and broadcasting. Stadium Al-Baqa'a plays their home games at Amman International Stadium in Amman.
