2016–17 FIBA Europe Cup Play-offs
The 2016–17 FIBA Europe Cup play-offs begin on 8 February and conclude on 19 and 26 April 2017, with the 2017 FIBA Europe Cup Finals, to decide the champions of the 2016–17 FIBA Europe Cup. A total of 16 teams competed in the play-offs. Times up to 25 March 2017 (round of 16) are Central European Time, CET (UTC+01:00, UTC+1), thereafter (quarter-finals and beyond) times are Central European Summer Time, CEST (UTC+02:00, UTC+2). Format The play-offs involves 16 teams which qualified as winners of each one of the six groups in the second round, the two best runners-up and eight teams from the 2016–17 Basketball Champions League, Basketball Champions League group stage. Each tie in the single-elimination tournament, knockout phase, is played over two-legged tie, two legs, with each team playing one leg at home. 2017 FIBA Europe Cup Finals
The 2017 FIBA Europe Cup Final were the concluding games of the 2016–17 FIBA Europe Cup season. The Finals were played in a Two-legged tie, two-legged format, with the first leg being played on April 19 and the second one on April 26, 2017. The first leg was played at Le Colisée in Chalon-sur-Saône, at the home court of Élan Chalon. The second leg was played at the Palais des Sports Maurice Thorez in Nanterre, at the home court of Nanterre 92. Venue The Le Colisée was the first leg venue as Élan Chalon venue. In the 2015–16 FIBA Europe Cup, previous season Le Colisée hosted the 2016 FIBA Europe Cup Final Four. The stadium has a capacity of 5,000 people. Kataja Basket Club is a professional basketball club of sports club Joensuun Kataja, Kataja from Joensuu, Finland. The team plays in the Korisliiga, the highest tier of Finnish basketball. BC Yenisey () is a Russian professional basketball team from the city of Krasnoyarsk, Siberia. Since the 2011–12 season, Enisey plays in the VTB United League. The team colors are blue and white.
