The 2016–17 NBA season, 2016–17 Boston Celtics season was the 71st season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The team obtained the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference for the first time since 2007–08 Boston Celtics season, 2008 when they won the NBA title. At 53–29, they finished with the lowest winning percentage of a No. 1 seed since the Detroit Pistons in 2006–07 Detroit Pistons season, 2007. Brad Stevens
Bradley Kent Stevens (born October 22, 1976) is an American basketball executive and former coach who is currently the president of basketball operations and de facto general manager for the Boston Celtics. Born and raised in Zionsville, Indiana, Stevens starred on the Zionsville Community High School basketball team, setting four school records. After high school, he attended DePauw University, where he played basketball and earned a degree in economics. Stevens made the all-conference team multiple times and was a three-time Academic All-America nominee. He transitioned into coaching after quitting his job at Eli Lilly and Company, joining the Butler Bulldogs men's basketball, basketball program at Butler University as a volunteer prior to the 2000–01 season. Rade Zagorac ( sr-Cyrl, Раде Загорац; born 12 August 1995) is a Serbian professional basketball player for ONVO Büyükçekmece of the Turkish Basketbol Süper Ligi (BSL). Standing at 6 ft 9 in (2.06 m), he plays at the small forward and power forward positions. Professional career Zagorac began his professional career with Mega Vizura starting with 2012–13 season. The Michigan State Spartans men's basketball team is the college basketball, intercollegiate men's basketball program representing Michigan State University. The school competes in the Big Ten Conference of NCAA Division I college basketball. Deyonta Davis
Deyonta Davis (born December 2, 1996) is an American professional basketball player. He won the Mr. Basketball of Michigan in 2015 and appeared in the McDonald's All-American Boys Game the same year. He played one season of college basketball for the Michigan State Spartans before being drafted by the Boston Celtics with the 31st overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft before being traded to the Memphis Grizzlies on draft night. High school career Davis attended Muskegon High School in Muskegon, Michigan. In his final season, he recorded 4 points and 12 rebounds in the state regional finals, as Muskegon escaped Hudsonville in quadruple-overtime. Guerschon Yabusele (; ''GAIR-shun YAH-boo-ZELL-ay;'' born December 17, 1995) is a French professional basketball player for the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
