The 2016 Torneo Internacional Challenger León was a professional tennis tournament played on hard courts. It was the fourteenth edition of the tournament which was part of the 2016 ATP Challenger Tour. It took place in León, Mexico between 28 March and 3 April 2015. Hardcourt
A hardcourt (or hard court) is a type of surface or floor on which a sport is played, most usually in reference to tennis courts. It is typically made of rigid materials such as asphalt or concrete, and covered with acrylic resins to seal the surface and mark the playing lines, while providing some cushioning. Historically, hardwood surfaces were also in use in indoor settings, similar to an indoor basketball court, but these surfaces are rare now. Tennis Tennis hard courts are made of synthetic/acrylic layers on top of a concrete or asphalt foundation and can vary in color. These courts tend to play medium-fast to fast because there is little energy absorption by the court, as with grass courts but unlike clay courts. Hach Verdugo has a career high ATP doubles ranking of No. 60 achieved on 11 July 2022 and a singles ranking of No. 528 achieved on 20 July 2015. João Souza
João Olavo Soares de Souza (; born 27 May 1988) is a Brazilian former professional tennis player. Before receiving a lifetime ban for match-fixing, Souza competed mainly on the ATP Challenger Tour, both in singles and doubles. He reached his highest ATP singles ranking, No. 69, on April 6, 2015, and his highest ATP doubles ranking, No. 70, on January 7, 2013. Souza was coached by former Brazilian player Ricardo Acioly. Mohamed Safwat
Mohamed Safwat (; born 19 September 1990) is an Egyptian tennis player. Safwat has been a regular player on the Egypt Davis Cup team since 2009. Safwat has won one singles and three titles in doubles on the ATP Challenger Tour. He is currently the Egyptian No. 1. Daniel Nguyen
Daniel Cao Nguyen (born October 16, 1990) is an inactive tennis player. He is the first Vietnamese American to play in the US Open tennis tournament. He has won a total of 15 singles and 5 doubles Futures titles and 2 doubles Challenger titles as of December 2019. Daniel Nguyen is a graduate of Santa Barbara High School and the University of Southern California (USC). Marcelo Arévalo González (; born October 17, 1990) is a Salvadoran professional tennis player.
