2016 Stabæk Fotball Season
The 2016 season is Stabæk's third season back in the Tippeligaen following their relegation in 2012, their 20th season in the top flight of Norwegian football. Stabæk finished the previous season in third place, qualifying for the 2016–17 UEFA Europa League First qualifying round. Stabæk Fotball is a Norway, Norwegian professional association football, football club based in Bærum, a suburb of Oslo. It is part of the multi-sport organization Stabæk IF. Founded in 1912, the club's name is an archaic spelling of the suburban area Stabekk, from which it once originated. The club currently competes in the Norwegian first division, the second tier of Football in Norway. Their home stadium is the Nadderud Stadion after a three-year-long stay at the Telenor Arena. Their current chairman is Espen Moe. Jörgen Wålemark is the current head coach of the club since taking over in December 2024. Morten Skjønsberg
Morten Morisbak Skjønsberg (born 12 February 1983) is a Norway, Norwegian former association football, footballer. As a player Skjønsberg was a versatile defender who played anywhere across the back line. In the early years of his career, he usually played at right-back, but was later converted to central defender. Career Club career Skjønsberg made his debut for Stabæk in 2002 in Norwegian football, 2002. By the end of the 2007 in Norwegian football, 2007 season, he had played 114 league games for the club. On 3 August 2008, he scored his first league goal for Stabæk, against F.K. Bodø/Glimt, Bodø/Glimt. On 10 January 2012 he transferred to Swedish club IFK Norrköping. He came back to Stabæk in 2014 and was an important part of the team until he retired after the 2017 season. He has the record for most league and total appearances for Stabæk.
