Roy Cooper
Roy Asberry Cooper III ( ; born June 13, 1957) is an American attorney and politician who served as the 75th List of governors of North Carolina, governor of North Carolina from 2017 to 2025. The 2012 North Carolina gubernatorial election took place on November 6, 2012, concurrently with the 2012 United States presidential election, U.S. House election, statewide judicial election, Council of State election and various local elections. Incumbent Democratic governor Bev Perdue was eligible to run for re-election, but announced on January 26, 2012 that she would not seek a second term. Incumbent lieutenant governor Walter H. Dalton won the Democratic nomination, while former mayor of Charlotte and 2008 gubernatorial nominee Pat McCrory won the Republican nomination. Randolph County is a county located in the U.S. state of North Carolina. As of the 2020 census, the population was 144,171. Its county seat is Asheboro. Randolph County is included in the Greensboro- High Point, NC Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is also included in the Greensboro– Winston-Salem–High Point, NC Combined Statistical Area. Robert Brawley
Clyde Robert Brawley (born April 10, 1944) is a former American politician who was a Republican member of the North Carolina General Assembly. He represented the state's 43rd House district, including constituents in Catawba and Iredell counties (formerly the 35th district and now the 95th district) from 1981 until he retired in 1999. While in office, Brawley was elected the President of the National Republican Legislators Association and was named National Legislator of the Year in 1995.
