Bethanie Mattek-Sands ( Bethanie Lynn Mattek; born March 23, 1985) is an American professional tennis player. She has won nine Grand Slam titles (five in women's doubles and four in mixed doubles), and an Olympic gold medal, and is a former world No. 1 in doubles. In women's doubles, Mattek-Sands has won 30 career titles, including five majors at the 2015 Australian Open, 2015 French Open, 2016 US Open, 2017 Australian Open and 2017 French Open, all partnering Lucie Šafářová. Varvara Petrivna Lepchenko (born May 21, 1986) is an Uzbekistani-born American professional tennis player. She is of Ukrainian descent and played for Uzbekistan before relocating to the United States. Lepchenko won a singles title on the WTA Challenger Tour and 13 singles titles and one doubles title on the ITF Women's Circuit. She won all her 14 ITF titles in the United States. On 9 September 2019, Wang achieved her highest singles ranking of world No. 12, becoming the third-highest ranked Chinese tennis player in history after Li Na and Zheng Qinwen.
