2015–16 Ukrainian Second League
The 2015–16 Ukrainian Second League was the 25th season of 3rd level professional football in Ukraine. The competition commenced on 26 July 2015 with a full round of matches. From 1 November 2015 to 26 March 2016 the competition was on winter break. The competition resumed with Round 16 and completed on 1 June 2016. Ukrainian Second League
The Ukrainian Second League (, ''Druha Liha'') is a professional football league in Ukraine which is part of the Professional Football League of Ukraine, a collective member of the Ukrainian Association of Football. As the third tier it was established in 1992 as the Transitional League and changed its name the next season. The league is lower than the Ukrainian First League (''Persha Liha'') and the lowest level of professional football competitions in the country. Since 1996 the league, after being merged with its lower tier (in 1992–1995 there was the Third League), consists of two main regions roughly north-west and south-east. The league's relegated teams lose their professional status and return to their regional associations. Professional Football League Of Ukraine
The Professional Football League of Ukraine (; also known as PFL) is a non-for-profit sports association of professional football (sports) clubs also known as the Football Clubs Association "Professional Football League of Ukraine". It is a collective member of the Ukrainian Association of Football. The association members are created and act according to their statutory goals and objectives. Created in 1996 as a representative of all professional clubs in Ukraine, starting from 2008 the association only represents professional clubs of lower leagues (second and third tiers). The League organizes the football competition for football clubs in the second and the third level of the Ukrainian league system known as Persha Liha and Druha Liha respectively as well as early stages of the Ukrainian Cup. Kolos Stadium (Borispil)
Kolos Stadium is a multifunctional facility, primarily used for football and field hockey located in Boryspil, Kyiv Oblast, Ukraine. Currently the Ukrainian Premier League football club Arsenal Kyiv plays their home games at the stadium. History The stadium was initially constructed after the Second World War and had a capacity for 7,500 spectators. In 1997 the facility was reconstructed and modernized with individual seating as well change rooms, a special medical room and massage facilities and new parking arena. The capacity was reduced to 5,654 with approximately 2,000 covered seats. The hockey facility has a separate arena which is uses a synthetic turf and a small covered stadium with a capacity for 1,500 spectators. FC Nikopol
FC Nikopol was a Ukrainian football club from the city of Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk oblast and Makiivka, Donetsk Oblast before 2015. Another FC Nikopol has existed in Nikopol prior to relocation of FC Makiivvuhillya. 2016–17 Ukrainian First League
The 2016–17 Ukrainian First League was the 26th since its establishment. The fixtures were announced on 16 July 2016, and the competition commenced on 24 July 2016. The spring session started on 12 March 2017 with the competition ending on 2 June 2017. Teams Promoted teams Originally, as per competition regulations the top three teams were promoted from the 2015–16 Ukrainian Second League. However, prior to the season commencing at the Conference of the PFL in preparation for the season the committee decided to expand the competition to eighteen teams and include the fourth, fifth and sixth placed teams. Krystal Kherson was a professional football club from Kherson in Ukraine that has a long history in the Soviet and then the Ukrainian Leagues. As of the 2020–21 season, it will play in the Ukrainian First League, the second tier of Ukrainian football, following promotion from the 2019–20 Ukrainian Second League. FC Enerhiya Nova Kakhovka
Enerhiya Nova Kakhovka was a Ukrainian professional association football, football team from Nova Kakhovka in Kherson oblast. The club competed in the Ukrainian Second League since 2010. History The club was founded in 1952 on the basis of worker's collective on the hydroelectrical station that is on the Dnipro River (Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant). Narodnyy Klub Veres Rivne () is a Ukrainian professional football club based in Rivne. The club competes in the Ukrainian Premier League, the top tier of Ukrainian football, after winning the 2020–21 Ukrainian First League. Their home stadium until 2017 was Avanhard Stadium in Rivne.
