The 2016 Radivoj Korać Cup season was the 10th season of the Serbian national basketball cup tournament. The competition started on February 18 and concluded with the Final on February 21, 2016. Radivoj Korać Cup
The Radivoj Korać Cup ( sr-Cyrl-Latn, Куп Радивоја Кораћа, Kup Radivoja Koraća) is the men's national basketball cup of Serbia. It is run by the Basketball Federation of Serbia and is named after Serbian basketball legend and FIBA Hall of Fame and Basketball Hall of Fame member Radivoj Korać. Crvena zvezda have the most Radivoj Korać Cup titles at 11. History In 2003, the Cup got its name on proposal from Hemofarm, due to the abolition of the eponymous European competition and the name change of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia into the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro. KK Metalac Valjevo
Košarkaški klub Metalac ( sr-cyr, Кошаркашки клуб Металац), commonly referred to as KK Metalac, is a men's professional basketball club based in Valjevo, Serbia. They are currently competing in the Basketball League of Serbia. History Metalac was established on 24 March 1948 as KK Budućnost Valjevo. Six days later, the club played its first official game in Čačak against Borac and lost 69:19. In a relatively short period of time, they managed to qualify for a higher level of competition, entering the South Group of a then minor Serbian League under the new name Metalac in 1954. Due to financial problems in 1960, the club had to leave all competitions and restart from scratch again a year after. Čair Sports Center (), commonly known as Čair Hall () is an indoor sporting arena located in Niš, Serbia. The seating capacity of the arena is 4,800 for sports events and 6,500 at concerts. It is home to the KK Konstantin basketball team, RK Železničar 1949 handball team and OK Niš volleyball team. History The sports center "22 December" was opened in 1973, as largest sports center in the city of Niš. Later, its name was changed to "Čair Sports Center". It was completely reconstructed in 2011 for the needs of 2012 European Men's Handball Championship, as it was named one of tournament's venues.
