2015–16 Marquette Golden Eagles Men's Basketball Team
The 2015–16 Marquette Golden Eagles men's basketball team represented Marquette University in the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Golden Eagles, led by second-year head coach Steve Wojciechowski, played their home games at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, and were members of the Big East Conference. They finished the season 20–13, 8–10 in Big East play to finish in seventh place. They defeated St. John's in the first round of the Big East tournament to advance to the quarterfinals where they lost to Xavier. Despite having 20 wins, they did not participate in a postseason tournament. Previous season The Golden Eagles finished the 2014–15 season 13–19, 4–14 in Big East play to finish ninth in the Big East. Chris Carrawell
Chris Carrawell (born November 25, 1977) is a retired American professional basketball player and coach who is currently the associate head coach for the Duke Blue Devils. He is best known for his college career at Duke, where he was a consensus All-American and ACC Player of the Year in 2000. High school career Born in a rough inner city neighborhood in north St. Louis and growing up without his father (he saw him for the first time in 1999), Carrawell attended high school at Cardinal Ritter College Prep in St. Louis. Among his teammates were future NBA players Loren Woods and Jahidi White. In four years on the Cardinal Ritter varsity, he led the team to an overall 80–13 record, including a three-year undefeated streak at home. As a sophomore he posted averages of 19.4 points, 10.1 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 5.5 steals and 2.8 blocks per game. The Toledo Rockets men's basketball team represents the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio. The school's team currently competes in the Mid-American Conference. The team last played in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament in 1980, the seventh longest active drought among all Division I teams. Glen Ellyn is a village in DuPage County, Illinois, United States. A suburb located due west of downtown Chicago, the village has a population of 28,846 as of the 2020 Census. History Glen Ellyn, like the neighboring town to the east, Lombard, had its genesis in an 1833 claim by two brothers from the Finger Lakes region of New York, Morgan and Ralph Babcock. The two claimed property in a large stand of timber near present-day St. Charles Road and the East Branch of the DuPage River. The Liberty Flames men's basketball team is the men's basketball team that represents Liberty University. They play their home games at Liberty Arena and are members of the Conference USA, having moved there in July 2023 after 5 seasons in the ASUN.
