The 2015–16 Macedonian Football Cup was the 24th season of Macedonia's football knockout competition. Rabotnichki are the defending champions, having won their fourth title in the previous year. FK Rabotnichki () or more commonly Rabotnički (old transliteration) and Rabotnicki is a professional football (soccer), football club that plays at the Toše Proeski Arena, Toshe Proeski Arena in Skopje, North Macedonia. They currently compete in the Macedonian First League. History FK Rabotnichki was founded in 1937 as SK Radnički Skoplje. It is widely regarded as the ‘railway football club’. It started competing in the 1938–39 Second League of the Skoplje Football Subassociation which finished 4th out of 5 teams. However the next season Radnički won the league with no defeats among 6 teams and with a goal difference of 45–6, thus earning promotion to the First League of the Skoplje Football Subassociation. FK Belasica () is a professional association football, football club based in the city of Strumica, North Macedonia. They are currently competing in the Macedonian Second Football League, Macedonian Second League. History The club was founded on 22 April 1922 at the cafe of Tašo Todorov, where fifty initiators gathered at the founding meeting for the football club Belasica Strumica. According to documents, the first meeting was held on 13 August 1922 with Gjorgi Moskov elected president, Tomi Kujundziev as secretary and Rosto Perov as treasurer. The first match played in club history was against Pobeda from Skopje, where Belasica lost by the score of 1–0. Their popular nickname is Kangaroos and their best period was the golden 80s when they won the Macedonian Republic championship twice. K.F. Gostivari is a professional football club based in Gostivar, North Macedonia. They are recently competed in the Macedonian First League. History The club was founded in 1919 as Rinia Gostivar. They merged with FK Gostivar in 2010 and were renamed KF Gostivari with the original FK Gostivar getting dissolved. In the 2012–13 season, Gostivar finished second and was promoted to the Macedonian First League for the first time in club history. Its first win in 2013/14 season was on 18/08/2013 against FK Rabotnički. Gostivar's defender Ekrem Hodžić scored two goals contributing in the 2–0 win. KF Vëllazërimi 77 () is a Association football, football club based in Kičevo, North Macedonia. They are currently not playing in any of the four highest tiers of Macedonian football. History KF Vëllazërimi entered in the Macedonian First Football League, Macedonian First League in the 2005–2006 season and they were the sensation of the league after their great start. But, after some economic problems a lot of the players left the team, however Vëllazërimi managed to stay in the league. FK Pobeda AD Prilep () is a football club based in the city of Prilep, North Macedonia. They are currently competing in the Macedonian Second League. History The club was founded in 2010 as Viktorija (eventually renaming to Pobeda Junior) after the FK Pobeda was banned by FIFA for eight years. Legally, the two clubs' track records and honors are kept separate by the Football Federation of Macedonia. In 2015, Pobeda Junior was renamed to match the name of the old club that was suspended, Pobeda. The club was promoted to the Macedonian First League for the first time after finishing 1st in the 2015–16 Macedonian Second League.
